Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) A ferrule structure for holding an end portion of an optical fiber, comprising a main body portion supporting the most end portion of the optical fiber, and a ferrule structure extending from the main body portion toward the proximal end side. a metal sleeve extending coaxially with the optical fiber; and a metal sleeve received within the sleeve for bonding the optical fiber end to the sleeve by heating the optical fiber end while the optical fiber end is inserted therein. 1. A ferrule structure for an optical fiber, comprising: a tubular member made of a thermoplastic adhesive, and a primer for surface treatment of the adhesive surface is applied to a surface facing the optical fiber. (2) The ferrule structure for an optical fiber according to claim 1, wherein the tubular member is held in the sleeve by caulking the sleeve from the outside and causing plastic deformation.
