Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the hot water washer together with reduction of the cost by opening a relay contact performing the temperature control and stopping the energization of a heater in a normal state where a leak is detected by a leak detection means. CONSTITUTION:When a heater 3 has no leak, a leak detection means 13 detects no leak and no signal is applied to a 2nd temperature control means 31b. Then a 1st temperature control means 31a performs the temperature control of the warm water. When the heater 3 has the dielectric breakdown and has a leak through the hot water, the means 13 detects the leak out of the output of a current transformer. This detection output is supplied to the means 31b. The means 31b opens the contacts 35a and 35b of a relay 35 via a heater driving part 32 to stop the drive of the heater 3. As a result, a relay circuit can be used in common for both the leak and temperature control purposes. Then the constitution is simplified together with reduction of the cost for a leak cut-off device for hot water washer.

Now, a sheathed heater is normally used as the heater 3, but if dielectric breakdown occurs, it is dangerous because it may leak electricity into the hot water and cause an electric shock during use. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, an earth leakage interrupting device 10 is used together with the control circuit section 7. A current transformer 12 is attached to one side of the AC power supply 1l to detect the unbalanced state of the current, and when the leakage detection means 13 detects a leakage based on the output of the current transformer 12, a relay 15 is sent via the transistor 14. to drive relay contacts 15a. Open 15b. Then, the power supply is cut off and the power supply to the control circuit section 7 is stopped.

The control section 3l is supplied with signals from the temperature detection stage 6, the temperature setting means 18, and the operation section 19 as in the conventional example described above. The control unit 31 is connected to a microcomputer, a memory for storing processing procedures, and a human output interface, and controls the temperature of the hot water in the hot water tank 2 to be constant based on the outputs of the temperature setting means 18 and the temperature detection means 6. 1,000 temperature control stages 31a, and a second temperature control means 3lb that operates when an electric leakage is detected.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. Normally, when there is no current leakage in the heater 3, no current leakage is detected by the current leakage detection means 13, and no signal is transmitted to the second temperature control means 3lb. Therefore, the temperature control of the hot water is controlled by the first temperature control stage 31a. That is, the water temperature is maintained at a predetermined value by performing feedback control based on the output of the temperature detection stage 6 so that the temperature is set by the temperature setting means 18. Now, when the heater 3 suffers dielectric breakdown and the AC power supply leaks through hot water, the leakage is detected by the leakage detection stage 13 based on the output of the current transformer 12, and the output is given to the second temperature control means 3lb. Therefore, the second temperature control means 3lb is controlled via the heater drive unit 32 through the contacts 35a of the relay 35. 35b is opened to stop driving the heater 3. In this way, even if the water temperature is lower than the set temperature, the heater 3 will not be energized, thereby preventing electric shock to the human body.

As described above, according to the present invention, when a current leakage is detected by the current leakage detection means, the relay contact that controls the temperature is always kept open, thereby stopping the power supply to the heater. Therefore, the relay circuit can be used both for current leakage and temperature control. Therefore, by simplifying the configuration, the number of parts can be reduced. Furthermore, since the assembly work is easy, the cost can be significantly reduced.
