した。[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Summary of the Invention] Regarding an alarm collection and control method in a communication device configured by combining various units and storing them in one shelf, there is no need for special cables and the system remains stable even if the unit configuration changes. With the aim of providing an alarm collection and control method that can easily handle the above, we have developed an alarm collection and control method for a communication device in which various device configuration units are selected according to the target communication device and housed in a shelf. The alarm panel of each unit and the alarm collection section housed in the shelf are connected by using the empty pins of the power cable using a multi-pin connector and the conductive wires connected to the power cables that connect the power supply device housed in the shelf and each of the units. was connected to transmit alarm and control signals.

It is sent out through two signal lines. Therefore, one of the signal lines corresponds to one unit, and the alarm collection section recognizes whether or not there is an alarm from the unit (regardless of the type of alarm). This signal line is also used from the alarm collection section to control the alarm test of each unit.

Since a power cable is always provided for each unit, alarm collection and control can be carried out reliably for each unit without omission, and there is no need for a special cable for alarms unlike in the past. Even if the type and number of units change, the length, number, etc. of the power cables are changed accordingly, so alarm collection and control can be performed reliably through the changed power cables.

The G pin is sent to the alarm collector 8 through another connector. If a connector of the same type is used as this other connector, the required number of pins would be 3×7=21 pins, but this connector has 36 pins, so one set of connectors is sufficient. Note that the alarm collection control pins of the power connectors 48 and 68 for the alarm collection unit are left vacant.
