圧接する前記上部ユニツトに設けられたサーマル
ヘツドとを備え、前記プラテンローラと共に前記
転写紙および前記記録用紙を搬送して記録する熱
転写型プリンタ装置におけるサーマルヘツド保護
機構であつて、前記上部ユニツトを前記下部ユニ
ツトにロツクするロツク部材と、前記ロツク部材
のロツクを解除する上部ユニツト開閉機構と、前
記上部ユニツトの前記サーマルヘツドを動作させ
るリンク機構を備えたサーマルヘツド押圧機構と
を具備し、前記ロツク部材に前記リンク機構と協
働する阻止部を設け、転写記録中、前記ロツク部
材の阻止部によつて前記上部ユニツト開閉機構の
開閉動作を阻止し、前記サーマルヘツドを押圧状
態に維持するよう構成したことを特徴とするサー
