A paper strip conveying device is provided with alignment and transfer sections spaced apart from each other, wherein the alignment and transfer section includes a pair of endless belt conveyors installed symmetrically, and the belts of each endless belt conveyor are spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval. The belt of each endless belt conveyor is provided with clamping pieces that are arranged so as to have parallel parts and move synchronously, respectively, and project from the belt of each endless belt conveyor. At the same time, the tips of the clamping pieces are arranged so that they are in contact with each other in the parallel parts, and while the clamping pieces are separated, the ends of the paper conveyance line and the alignment transfer section are The paper pieces present in the paper pieces are arranged in a standby state as they are, and the arranged paper pieces are pinched and conveyed intermittently with the tips of the holding pieces in contact with each other.
