Abstract

PURPOSE:To recognize a caller name at the arrival of a call by comparing telephone number information of a caller received from an ISDN network at arrival of call with a telephone number at abbreviation dial registration so as to display a memo input data attended at abbreviation dial registration. CONSTITUTION:When a call from an ISDN network is received, the presence of caller telephone number information is checked and when the telephone number information exists, a registered telephone number extracted from a head storage area of an abbreviation dial registration memory and a caller telephone number are compared and when they are coincident, a memory surrounded by slash (/) as shown in figure is displayed onto a display device 8. When they are dissident, an abbreviation dial memory address is incremented. when the incremented memory address overflows in comparison with the abbreviation dial registered memory address registered before, it is discriminated that no registration is available and 'no registration' is displayed on the display device 8. Thus, data relating to a caller are displayed together with a caller telephone number.
