Abstract

PURPOSE:To display the contents of a message, automatic recording of a telephone call and conversation on a screen by providing a sound recording means to record the message or the automatic recording of the telephone call or the contents of the conversation, sound/character converting means to convert the stored sounds to character information and a picture display means to display the picture information on the screen. CONSTITUTION:A sound storing means 6 is provided to store the output of either a sound input device 2 or a telephone connecting terminal 5 by turning on an operating switch to store the message or the automatic recording of the telephone call and the contents of the conversation. Then, the information stored by the sound storing means 6 are analyzed and collated with tones already registered. Then, the sounds are converted to the character information by a sound/character converting means 7, which converts the sounds to the character information, and displayed by a picture display means 8. Thus, the message or the automatic recording of the telephone call or the contents of the conversation can be displayed on the screen as needed.
