電極並びに非線形素子と、少なくとも有効表示面
に対応する箇所において前記電極及び非線形素子
を覆うよう基台上に設けられ表面に液晶配向処理
が施された配向膜とを具備した液晶表示用基板に
おいて、前記基台には前記非線形素子の設けられ
た領域の周辺であつて前記配向膜の下側に、表示
に寄与しない電極が設けられている事を特徴とす
