This footboard 13 has a structure in which non-slip crossbars 15 are nailed at regular intervals to a single board 14 made of wood or metal, and handrails 12 made of pipe are attached.

However, it was often necessary to perform these rebuilding works.

3, as the ship's position subsequently decreased due to the effects of the ebbing tide and load, as shown in Figure 6 (b),
The shape gradually slopes downward toward the ship. Then,
The end portion 13' of the footboard 13 on the quay wall side is in the shape of being raised into the air, and as this height H increases, walking on the footboard 13 becomes difficult. In such a case, the stepboard 13 is gradually reduced to a shorter length L 2
Replace it with another footboard 13, and
The above-mentioned spring height H of 3' was adjusted low to make it easier to walk.

A joint 4 at which the bridge can bend only downward from the horizontal at one point at an appropriate distance from both ends of a ladder-like bridge consisting of a pair of side members 1' and treads 2 arranged in parallel at appropriate intervals between the side members.
A grip fitting 8 for holding the ship's handrail is attached to the end of the bridge on the long side, and wheels 11 are attached to the end of the bridge on the short side.
It is characterized by being attached.

However, when the ship handrail 7 is located horizontally or above the quay, the joint 4 does not bend at all, as shown in the construction diagrams E and F to L in FIG. 4. However, when the position of the ship's handrail 7 is located downward with respect to the quay, the joint 4 bends freely downward according to the position of the ship's handrail 7, as shown in A-D of FIG. The short side of the bridge does not jump up into the air on the quay and remains on the ground. Therefore, there is no need to rebuild the bridge, and safe ferry walking is always possible.

Even if the bridge has a steep slope, pedestrians can get a suitable tread on the wide semicircle, and the slits also prevent slipping, making it possible to walk on the ferry even more safely.

In this embodiment, cross members 3, 3 are interposed between the side members at several locations for reinforcement, and the ladder-like bridge 1 is thus constructed. The total length of this ladder-like bridge 1 is 2 m in the embodiment, and there is a joint 4 at an appropriate distance from both ends, in this example at a position of 1 m 50 cm, which allows the bridge to bend only downwards from the horizontal. The width of the bridge is 40cm, which is enough for people to cross freely.

The dimensions were determined so that it could be freely bridged between a ship's handrail and a quay in various cases.

However, below the horizontal plane, a part of the side member that was in contact with the stopper 5 can be bent away from the upper surface of the stopper, as shown in FIG. 1B.

In the illustrated example, the U-shaped metal fitting 9 is fixed to the tip of the side member 1', the open side of the U-shaped metal fitting 9 is fitted into the ship's handrail 7, and the locking pin 10 is inserted into the open side to securely grip the handrail 7. It's summery. Reference numeral 11 denotes transport wheels (casters) for the bridge, which are provided at the tip of the short bridge as shown in the figure.
Reference numeral 12 designates a bridge handrail, which in the illustrated example is assembled from aluminum alloy angle members and pipe materials. The bridge body, treads, and cross members are made of steel plates.

It is formed into a basket shape with slits provided at regular intervals, and is attached to the side member 1' by welding.
In addition to such semi-cylindrical basket-shaped treads, the ferry bridge 1 of the present invention can also use ordinary treads such as round bars and square bars.
