後に零点を通る直線を定規に合せて描いたり、記
録計のX軸、Y軸方向の移動つまみを動かして、
零点に合せた後、例えばX軸方向の移動つまみの
みを動かして、X軸基準線を引く等の方法が行な
われて来た。しかし、前者の方法では正確性に問
題があり、また後者の方法では、つまみ操作の手
間及び、基準線を引いた後改めて零点位置を設定
し直さなければならないという欠点があつた。

記X軸基準線の作図と同様の方法により正確に、
鮮明に描くことができる。なお、前記積分回路に
代えてこれを三角波を発生するような回路に置き
代えても良いことはいうまでもない。また、切換
スイツチ14として、スイツチつまみに手を触れ
ない時は接点bに自動復帰するような構造のもの
を用いることによつて、切換スイツチ14の切り
忘れなどによる測定ミスを未然に防止することが
できる。
