(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a sliding contact device, and particularly to materials for a brush, a commutator, or a slip ring constituting the sliding contact device. (Problems with conventional technology) Conventional sliding contact devices contain 30 to 50% Au by weight.
It is a combination of a brush made of an alloy material containing 20-40% by weight of Ag and 20-40% by weight of Pd, and a commutator or slip ring made of an alloy material containing 0.5-15% by weight of Ag-Cd. By the way, in this sliding contact device, the brushes tend to wear out when sliding with the commutator or the slip ring, causing noise generation. On the other hand, commutators or slip rings have high stickiness and poor abrasion resistance when sliding with brushes. (Object of the Invention) The present invention has been made to eliminate such drawbacks, and aims to provide a sliding contact device that suppresses brush wear and improves the wear resistance of a commutator or slip ring. be. (Structure of the Invention) The sliding contact device of the present invention includes Au30 to 50% by weight,
A brush composed of an alloy material containing 20 to 40% by weight of Ag, 20 to 40% by weight of Pd, 0.5 to 15% by weight of Cd, Sb,
It is combined with a commutator or a slip ring made of an alloy material containing at least one of Pb and Zn in a total of 0.5 to 3% by weight and the balance being Ag. In the sliding contact device of the present invention, the reason why the brush is made of the same alloy material as conventional brushes, which is 30 to 50% by weight of Au, 20 to 40% by weight of Ag, and 20 to 40% by weight of Pd, is to take advantage of its excellent corrosion resistance. It's for a reason. Commutator or slip ring, 0.5~15
At least 1 of Sb, Pb and Zn in addition to Cd in weight%
The reason why the seeds are made of an alloy material consisting of a total of 0.5 to 3% by weight and the balance of Ag is that it contains an appropriate amount of oxide that acts as a lubricant to suppress stickiness when sliding with the brush and improve wear resistance. If it is less than 0.5% by weight, the amount of oxide generated will be small and it will not be effective as a lubricant, and if it exceeds 3% by weight, the amount of oxide generated will increase, resulting in high contact resistance and This will result in instability. (Example and Conventional Example) Brush wires made of an alloy material of 40% by weight of Au, 30% by weight of Ag, and 30% by weight of Pd, each having a wire diameter of 0.7 mm, are cut into lengths of 8 mm, and two wires are placed in parallel with one end being 10 mm wide and long. A brush was made by welding it to a base material with a length of 13 mm and a thickness of 0.2 mm, and a 2R arc-shaped contact part was curved at the other end. On the other hand, slip rings with a diameter of 50 mm were made by punching out 0.5 mm thick plates made of alloy materials having the compositions shown in the left column of the table below. A sliding contact device was made by combining these brushes and slip rings, and a sliding test was conducted under the following test conditions by bringing each brush into contact with the slip ring and rotating the slip ring in forward and reverse directions. When we measured the amount of wear and contact resistance, we obtained the results shown in the right column of the table below. Test conditions Current: 0.6A Voltage: 12V Load: Resistance load Rotation speed: 1000 rotations/Division speed: 120-130m/min Contact force: 100g Sliding time: 7 hours

[Table] As is clear from the table above, the brushes and slip rings of the sliding contact devices of Examples 1 to 12 have a greater amount of wear compared to the brushes and slip rings of the sliding contact devices of Conventional Examples 1 and 2, respectively. It can be seen that the contact resistance is low and stable. This is just Examples 1 to 12.
The alloy material that makes up the slip ring of the sliding contact device generates oxides such as Sb, Pb, and Zn when sliding, and these oxides act as a lubricant, improving wear resistance and preventing oxidation. This is because the material is soft and can be easily removed by the sliding action, and the contact surface of the slip ring is always clean, resulting in low contact resistance. (Effects of the Invention) As detailed above, the sliding contact device of the present invention has less wear on the brush, commutator, or slip ring than conventional sliding contact devices, generates almost no noise, and has low contact resistance. Since the contact point is low and stable, it can be said to be an epoch-making device that can replace conventional sliding contact devices.
