Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] A jack having a butt on its upper surface is swingably connected to the rear end of the needle body having a hook at its tip by a pivot shaft extending in the direction across the needle groove. In particular, a butt on the jack is provided protruding from the free end side of the jack, and the butt is formed such that when the jack is oscillated within the needle groove, the jack can be moved in and out of the needle groove. That is, a presser pin made of an elastic material having an appropriate length along the length direction of the knitting needle is placed above the connecting portion between the needle body and the jack, and the base end thereof is positioned rearward from the position of the pivot shaft. This presser pin is fixed to a proper position on the jack, and when the butt of the jack is kept in the recessed position within the needle groove, the tip of the presser pin is placed in a position forward of the position of the pivot shaft.
