Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate imbalance between two windings and omit temporary fixing of the end of the winding and economically manufacture a common mode choke coil with improved quality to be mounted on a longitudinal substrate by winding two windings simultaneously on a united body obtained through combining four members, i.e., a double-squared a core, cylindrical spool and a pair of terminal base segments, using a winding machine and coiling the end of the wound lead around a pin terminal. CONSTITUTION:A driving gear is caused to mesh with a gear 75 from underside of a united body consisting of four members, i.e., a core 1, a spool 2 and terminal base segments 3, 4. The spool 2 is rotated by the driving gear to wind two windings simultaneously between a central collar 7 and an end collar 8. During this winding operation, an arcuate projection 34 ensures the mesh between the gear 73 and the driving gear by being in sliding contact with the outer periphery of the central collar 7 and at the same time it serves to press a lead wire at the beginning of the winding thereof into a receiving groove 71. The ends of the wound leads are coiled around the two pin terminals 5 on a terminal base segmentss 3 simultaneously. This coiling process is terminated when a wire material nozzle 10 which finished winding moves to the vicinity of the extremity of the pin terminal 5 passing through a longitudinal groove 31 in the terminal 5 side.

[Prior Art] Common mode choke coils (hereinafter simply referred to as coils) for noise filters include those that use a closed magnetic circuit ferrite core and those that use a split closed magnetic circuit ferrite core. A Japanese-shaped core is used as the closed magnetic circuit core, and the core is vertically placed.
As a conventional technology for a board-mounted coil in which the central magnetic leg is arranged horizontally (referred to as a vertical type or simply a vertical type), for example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-291108, two coils are used. A two-part cylindrical winding frame with a plurality of circular flanges and a plurality of winding parts is assembled to the central magnetic leg of the core. Rotate the cylindrical reel around 2
The coil body is made by winding several windings separately or simultaneously. Bin terminals are vertically placed on the bottom from both sides of the vertical coil body, and insulating plates for opening the core and windings are protruded to the sides. There is a structure in which a pair of frame-shaped terminal plates are assembled so that the cylindrical winding frame does not rotate, and the lead wires of the windings are connected to the pin terminals.

[Problem 8 to be solved by the invention] A conventional vertical board-mounted coil using a Japanese-shaped core and a cylindrical winding frame has a structure in which a pair of terminal plates are assembled to a coil body around which a winding is wound. In order to prevent the winding from unraveling, it was necessary to temporarily secure the end of the winding, such as applying adhesive or pasting insulating tape.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, the core, bobbin,
A commercially available automatic winding machine can be used by simply adding a drive gear to the combined product of terminal block pieces, winding both windings at the same time, and then wrapping the end of the winding lead wire around the bin terminal. Therefore, there is no imbalance between the two windings, and temporary fixing at the end of the winding can be omitted, so that a high-quality vertical board-mounted common mode choke coil can be manufactured at low cost.
