Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an information equipment which can be easily handled by the general user by incorporating an operating part into an information processor to set the setting conditions of equipments. CONSTITUTION:When an input is received from a keyboard 32, a CPU 31 has an input via a hardware function setting keyboard 36 so as to carry out a changing process request equivalent to a conventional dip switch. Then the CPU 31 stores temporarily the present set state of the hardware function in a memory 33 and also displays it at an LCD display part 34. A key input process is carried out and the contents stored temporarily in the memory 33 are changed and displayed at the part 34 in response to the dip switch which undergone the change of the ON/OFF states as long as an input is received for the ON/OFF change of the conventional dip switch. Thus a mechanism having a small operating frequency is incorporated so that an information processor can be easily handled with no technical knowledge required.

[Prior Art] In commonly used information processing devices, the setting state or operating state of the device is manually switched in advance using a mechanical switch (deep switch) before the power is turned on. In addition, the internal memory capacity of the device and the baud rate for communication functions are determined by inserting software to change the settings from outside the device, such as a floppy disk, and running the software to change the operating state of the device. The settings were changed by changing the settings to 1 and then activating the reset mechanism again.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Although the frequency of changing the hardware function settings is extremely low in such a conventional mechanism, since a mechanical dip switch is provided, space is required and the space is wasted. The large amount of space is an extremely large obstacle in making the entire device smaller and thinner, and it is mechanically impossible to add more switch elements when the number of function settings increases.

[Embodiment] Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described, but this embodiment is merely a specific example of the present invention, and in particular, is only one example of the combination of keys and buttons. Fig. 1 is a block diagram explaining the overall flow of the present invention. 1 is a keyboard, 2 is a keyboard/BIO5 section, and while pressing the control key and graph key of the keyboard 1 at the same time, press the power switch of the power supply. When turned on, BIO5

The mono signal (MONO) is converted from a color signal to a gradation signal by step 3, and converted from a serial signal to a parallel signal by step 4.
7, it is second latched and goes to the buffer memory control circuit 12 of the liquid crystal display section 16. At this time, the video capture timing generation circuit 5 and the timing adjustment circuit 6 are operated.

Write address counter 8 for buffer memory 13
It is controlled by a read address counter 9, a memory access basic timing generation circuit 11, and an address switching circuit 10. The liquid crystal display section 16 is divided into an upper half of 200 lines and a lower half of 200 lines, which are driven by an LCD control signal generation circuit 14 and a pseudo gradation generation circuit 15.

Next, FIG. 2 is a flowchart of software for changing the device setting state. As explained in 1 of FIG. 1, when there is an input from the keyboard, the central processing unit 31 sends an input 22 from the hardware function setting board to perform the process as a change processing request 21 corresponding to a conventional dip switch. Then, the current setting state of the hardware function is temporarily stored in the memory, and at the same time, the 23° key manual processing 24 is performed to display it on the LCD display. If the man power is 25,
The content temporarily stored in the memory and the LCD display are changed 26 in response to the dip switch that is turned on or off, and the process returns to the key manual processing 24.

If the setting is completed manually 27, the process is output to the hardware function setting board according to the contents temporarily stored in the memory and the process is completed in 2 days. Further, if the input is for canceling the setting 29, the process ends without performing anything. In this way, the setting change device according to the present invention changes the internal routine using software, as an example, so there is no need to operate the reset switch again after changing the settings and restart the device from the initial state, which was done in the past. If you follow the instructions on the screen, the software will automatically configure the settings, exit the routine, and return to the device's original routine.
