That is, after making a line connection to the facsimile line side with the telephones connected to each of the facsimile transmitter FT and the facsimile receiver FR , the receiver FR first transmits a called station identification signal to the transmitter FT . At the same time as transmitting CED, a digital identification signal DIS is transmitted. The transmitter that received and detected this signal CED, DIS
Following the digital command signal DCS, FT sends a training check signal TCF to the receiver FR . The receiver FR , which has detected the signals DCS and TCF and has performed a training check, sends a reception ready signal CFR to the transmitter FT . this signal
After receiving and detecting the CFR, the transmitter F T starts transmitting the image signal PIX, followed by a predetermined training signal. When the transmission of the first original is completed, the transmitter F T sends a biplane signal.
Receiver FR receives MPS and sends message confirmation signal MCF. At this point, the transmitter FT detects and confirms that there are still multiple pages of the original remaining and that the receiving side can receive them, and continues transmitting the next original.

When the above operations are repeated and the transmission of the last document is completed, the transmitter FT sends a message end signal EOM to the receiver FR . Receiver F R receives this message confirmation signal.
The transmitter F T transmits the MCF, receives and detects this signal MCF, sends the line disconnection signal DCN, and then switches the line to the telephone side and transmits the procedure signals between the series of transmitters F T and receiver F R. The plan was to stop sending, receiving, and transmitting manuscripts.

That is, in the receiver F R, the transmission control section 22 sends an identification signal CED indicating that the receiver F R is a non-voice terminal via the modulation/demodulation section 2, the cable control section 20, and the line L, and subsequently receives the identification signal CED. machine F R
sends out to line L a digital identification signal DIS indicating that it is a station using this communication system. The transmitter F T transmits these signals CED and DIS to the network control unit 13 and the modulation/demodulation unit 1.
3. After detecting reception via the transmission control unit 12, follow this reception path in reverse to receive a digital command signal in response to the standard function identified by the signal DIS.
A training check signal TCF is sent out for the DCS and receiver FR to perform a training check. In the receiver F R , the transmission control unit 22 receives this signal.
When DCS and TCF are detected, a predetermined training check is performed to confirm that there are no abnormalities, and a reception ready signal CFR is sent via the path described above.
Send out. In the transmitter FT , when the transmission control section 12 receives and detects this signal CFR, it drives the automatic document feed mechanism in the transmission scanning section 10 and starts transmitting the image signal PIX. Both signals PIX read and binarized by the transmission scanning unit 10 are sent to the band compression unit 11
The signal is encoded by an encoder provided therein, passes through the transmission controller 12, is modulated by the modulator/demodulator 13, and is sent to the line L via the network controller 14.

On the other hand, the receiver F R transmits this image signal PIX to the network control unit 20.
The image signal PIX is received via the modulation/demodulation unit 21, decoded by the transmission control unit 22, decoded by the decoding unit in the band expansion unit 23, and then sent to the recording scanning circuit in the reception scanning unit 24 for automatic feeding. This image signal PIX is recorded by driving the paper mechanism.

When the transmission of the first document is completed by such an operation, the transmission control unit 12 in the transmitter F T
Control is performed so that the signal MPS indicating that there are multiple documents is not sent from FT to the receiver FR , and the transmission scanning section 10 is instructed to continue transmitting the next document.

By repeating the above operations, multiple sheets of originals are transmitted one after another, and when the transmission of the last one of the multiple sheets of originals to be transmitted is completed, the transmission control section 12 in the transmitter F An image information end signal FOM is sent to line L via section 14. Receiving machine
When the F R receives and detects this signal EOM via the network control unit 20, modulation/demodulation unit 21, and transmission control unit 22, the previous image information is correctly received by the transmitter F T.
Signal MCF indicating that it is possible to receive additional image information
Send out. The transmission control unit 12 in the transmitter F T that has received and confirmed the reception of this signal MCF determines that there is no image information to send next, sends a line disconnection command signal DCN to the receiver F R , and disconnects the facsimile line. Switch to telephone line. In the above-mentioned embodiment, an example was explained in which multiple sheets of original are sent at once, but if you want to send several pages of arbitrary sheets as one page, use the following sending procedure. be able to.

In other words, any number of pages of a document is set as one page, and when the transmission of the one page of the document is completed, the transmitter F T sends a biplane signal MPS to the receiver F R indicating that there is a next document to be sent. In response to this, the receiver F R sends out an information confirmation signal MCF, and then starts transmitting the next one-page document consisting of multiple sheets, and thereafter every time it finishes transmitting one page (multiple sheets). The above-mentioned procedure signals are exchanged, and when the transmission of the final page of the document is completed, the transmitter F T sends the transmission end signal EOM, and after the receiver F R responds with the MCF signal, the transmission ends. .

Furthermore, although the above explanation has been made using a communication method between facsimile transmitters and receivers of three models in the group, it goes without saying that the communication method can also be implemented between facsimile machines of two models in the group, which have slow transmission speeds.

As explained above, according to the facsimile communication method according to the present invention, any number of pages is set as one page, and when the transmission of this one page (multiple pages) is completed, the next page consisting of multiple pages is transferred. Since the transmitter now sends the signal MPS indicating that there is a document or the signal EOM indicating that the document transmission has ended to the receiver, the above-mentioned process that was previously performed every time the transmission of one document was completed. This has an excellent effect in that the time required for communicating procedure signals can be saved and the time required to transmit all documents can be shortened.
