照射光はインクリボン10を透過した後用紙11
(普通紙)で反射して受光器16で受光される。
しかしながら、上述したカラー熱転写プリンタに
OHP用フイルム1を用いると、第4図ロに示す
ように黒マーク10a以外の部分(イエロ、マゼ
ンタ、シアン部)においても、発光器15の照射
光はOHP用フイルム1を透過してプラテンロー
ラ12に達するが、このプラテンローラ12が一
般に黒色であるために反射光を吸収してしまい、
この結果、受光器16へ照射光は達せず、色の変
り目を検出することができない。一方、上述した
カラー熱転写プリンタにこの実施例に示すOHP
用紙を使用すると、第4図ハに示すように黒マー
ク10a以外の部分ではOHP用フイルム1を透
過した光が、白色の保護用紙5の表面で反射して
受光器16に達するので、黒マーク10aの部分
において色の変り目の検出を良好に行うことがで
きる。
