Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the power consumption, and also, to stop the generation of a noise by setting a buffer circuit to an operating state only when connectors of transmitting/receiving side units are both inserted. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting side unit 1 and a receiving side unit 2 are connected by a coaxial line 3 and a control line 5 formed integrally therewith. The transmitting side unit 1 is provided with a buffer driving line connected to the control line 5 through a connector 6a. The receiving side unit 2 connects a ground to the control line 5 through a connector 6b. In this state, when a ground is received from the receiving side unit 2 through the connector 6a, the control line 5 and the connector 6b, the transmission side unit 1 sets a buffer circuit to an operating state. Also, an output signal from the circuit 4 can be received by a receiver circuit 7 of the receiving side unit 2 through the connector 6a, the coaxial line 3 and the connector 6b.

Conventionally, in systems in which transmitting and receiving units of this type are connected by a coaxial line, the buffer circuit of the transmitting side unit is in an operating state regardless of whether the coaxial line connector is connected or not, and a signal is not output from the transmitting side. was.

In the above-mentioned conventional coaxial line system including the buffer circuit, signals flow continuously even when the connectors of the transmitting and receiving units are not connected, which not only wastes power, but also causes the coaxial line and the transmitting buffer circuit to flow continuously. The drawback is that the electromagnetic noise generated when a signal flows through the joint between the coaxial line and the coaxial line has a non-negligible adverse effect on other circuits and signal lines.
