PURPOSE:To enable a desired program to be selected even without confirming a program schedule table by providing a function to identify a program code attached on a broadcast single from a program code designated by a viewer and to select a broadcast program for which coincidence can be obtained between them. CONSTITUTION:An audience selects any one among (news), (sports), (movie), or (drama) provided on the equipment control operating part 5 or the remote operation control signal transmitter 6 of a receiver main body. By performing such operation, a microprocessor 4 inputs the information of a selected program to a program identification function part 7. And all the broadcast stations are detected with a signal detection function part 2 sequentially, and sent to the function part 7. The function part 7 detects the video signal of the broadcast signal and the data line of a program information code inserted to a prescribed horizontal scanning period in a vertical blanking period, and performs the identification processing of program information. 御信号に従いマイクロプロセッサ4を動作せしめ、信号
検波機能部2に受信すべき放送局の指令を与える。
