ボールシートと、ボールシートを圧縮するととも
に、ソケツトに保持させるエンドカバーと、を備
えたボールジヨイントにおいて、前記エンドカバ
ーに対向するボールシートの下面側で外周部に交
互に複数の第１区域と第２区域を形成するととも
に、前記ボールシートの下面側で内周部に第１区
域に連なるよう放射方向に延在する第３傾斜区域
を形成し、エンドカバーにより圧縮されたボール
シートの第１区域における圧縮代が、エンドカバ
ーにより圧縮されたボールシートの第２区域にお
ける圧縮代よりも大きく、かつエンドカバーによ
り圧縮されたボールシートの第３傾斜区域におけ
る圧縮代よりも小さくなるよう前記エンドカバー
および前記ボールシートの少なくとも一方に凹凸
