Conventionally, an example of this type of paper cutting device is
There is a type shown in Figures 1 and 2, which consists of a fixed blade that stops the conveyance of the paper and is located below the paper, and a movable blade that is swingably supported above the paper. The paper is cut by working together.
However, in this type of cutting device, if the conveyance is incompletely stopped, the leading edge of the cut paper will land on the top of the movable blade B, as shown in FIG. When the process starts again, the leading edge of the paper advances further above the movable blade B,
This caused the inconvenience of paper jams. Conventionally, in order to solve this problem, for example, in Utility Model Publication No. 55-30719, a mechanism was installed to stop the conveyance of the paper and pull back the paper slightly immediately after cutting the paper, so that the cut end surface of the paper was placed above the movable blade. This eliminates paper jams caused by riding on the machine. On the other hand, JP-A-50-114688 focused on the operating speed of the movable blade, and by operating it at high speed,
This eliminates paper jams caused by cut sheets riding on the movable blade.

However, in the former case, since a new operation is added, a mechanism for that purpose is required, and it is difficult to arrange the timing with the cutting operation, for example, and in the latter case, A new mechanism that operates the movable blade at high speed is required, and this mechanism requires a relatively high speed of the movable blade when the paper conveyance speed becomes high. There was a problem in that a mechanism for reliably stopping the movable blade at the required position also had to be considered.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a paper cutting device of the type described above that does not cause paper jams without the addition of a particularly sophisticated mechanism as in the conventional examples.

In this invention, it is essential that the paper be continuously conveyed without stopping when cutting. As a result, due to the relationship between the activated movable blade and the continuously conveyed paper, the leading edge of the cut paper comes into contact with the movable blade, which was considered undesirable in the past, and a curved shape is formed at the leading edge of the paper. Rather, it is characterized by actively encouraging this. For this purpose, the arrangement of the fixed blade and the movable blade is taken into consideration so that the tip of the curved surface does not escape from the movable blade, and the paper guide is also arranged.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings shown in FIG. The paper reaches the conveyance roller 4 provided on the paper conveyance path 10. The transport roller 4 is driven by a motor 19 via a belt 20, and the paper 2 is transported from the upstream side to the downstream side of the paper transport path by the transport roller 4 to the downstream side of the transport roller 4. It is continuously conveyed in the direction of the fixed blade 5 and movable blade 6 that are arranged. The conveying roller 4 is installed near a thermal head 7 for recording image information on the paper 2, and the lower part of a support frame 9 is attached to the lower part of the thermal head 7 by a support shaft 8. The support frame 9 has a gate shape, and the fixed blade 5 is obliquely fixed between both side plates 9a with the cutting edge 5a facing upward. The cutting edge 5a of the fixed blade 5 is connected to the paper conveyance path 10 formed between the guides 7a and 9b.
A movable blade 6 is provided above the fixed blade 5 and protrudes toward the upstream side. The base end of the movable blade 6 is swingably supported on a support shaft 11 horizontally suspended between both side plates 9a of the support frame 9, and the cutting edge 6a of the movable blade 6 is located above the cutting edge 5a of the fixed blade 5. A paper conveyance path 10 is formed between these cutting edges 5a and 6a.
A pin 12 is protruded from the end of the movable blade 6 on the side of the cutting edge 6a, and the tip of the pin 12 cuts the paper 2 traveling above the paper 2. has been incorporated into. The bell crank 13 is located on the outer side of one end of the support frame 9, and has a corner rotatably supported by the support shaft 11, and has a pin 14 protruding from the remaining corner. The tip of this pin 14 is the arm 15.
The guide groove 15a is fitted into a guide groove 15a formed diagonally at the tip of the guide groove 15a. The base end side of the arm 15 is the main body 1
Drive means 16 such as a solenoid mounted on the side
The driving means 16 drives the arm 15 in the direction of arrow A, and the arm 15 is biased in the direction of arrow B between the arm 15 and a fixing pin 17 provided on the main body 1 side. A biasing means 18 is stretched.

Next, the operation will be described. The paper 2 housed in the main body 1 is continuously transported on the paper transport path 10 by the transport roller 4 rotated by the motor 19. When the paper 2 reaches a predetermined length, a cutting signal is input to the drive means 16, and the drive means 16 pulls the arm 15 in the direction of arrow A against the urging means 18. This allows the bell crank 13 to
Since the movable blade 6 is rotated clockwise around the bell crank 13 through the pin 12, the movable blade 6 is swung around the support shaft 11 as shown in FIG. The paper 2 is cut between the movable blade 5 and the movable blade 6 as shown in FIG. Immediately after this paper is cut, the cut paper continues to be continuously transported by the transport roller 4, but the leading edge of the cut paper 2 is parallel to the transport path with the upstream end connected to the blade edge parallel to the transport path. A fixed blade 5 is arranged so as to form an acute angle, and a movable blade 6 is arranged so that the upstream end surface connected to the cutting edge forms an acute angle with respect to the conveying path after swinging to the paper cutting position. Since it is supported by the bottom of the socket shape that is being formed at that time, it will not deviate in either the up or down direction. However, if the paper continues to be conveyed with its leading edge supported in this way, a large curved surface will be formed near the leading edge of the paper, and the movable blade 6 will separate from the fixed blade 5 and return to its original state. There is also a possibility that the leading edge of the paper deviates from the bottom of the socket formed by the fixed blade 5 and the movable blade 6 as described above before returning to the position.

However, in the present invention, since the guide 9b of a constant height is disposed close to the movable blade 6, at least the fixed blade 5 and the movable blade 6 are formed as shown in FIG. Between the bottom of the receptacle shape and the guide 9b, the paper only forms a curved surface 2a that is substantially resilient in the transport path direction, and the movable blade 6 swings counterclockwise. When the paper is moved and returns to its original position, the leading edge of the paper immediately returns to the downstream direction of the conveyance path as shown in Figure 6D, and the paper continues to be conveyed in the normal direction. Paper jams etc. do not occur due to orientation.

Thereafter, the above operation is repeated for each predetermined size to cut the continuously conveyed paper 2 into a predetermined size.

As described in detail above, in the present invention, after cutting the paper, the distal end surfaces of the fixed blade and the movable blade, which are connected to the respective cutting edges, are arranged in the paper conveyance direction, and the distal end faces are arranged close to the movable blade and on the upstream side of the paper. Even if the paper is continuously conveyed, the leading edge of the paper is stably received by the cutting edge of the movable blade and gradually forms a curved shape. Then, even if the movable blade swings back upwards, because the leading edge of the paper remains at a fixed position on the conveyance path and the presence of the guide, it will jump out correctly in the downstream direction and continue conveyance, unlike the conventional example. In this way, there is no need to cause problems such as paper jams caused by the leading edge of the paper wrapping around the back side of the movable blade. Since this effect remains the same even if the paper conveyance speed is increased, an efficient apparatus can be expected. Further, since there is no need to add and use sophisticated mechanisms unlike conventional solutions, it is possible to provide a device that is simpler in construction, smaller in size, and less expensive than those solutions.
