Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the heat changing efficiency by inserting a metallic sealing component in the notch of a heat exchanger so that the suction air may be prevented from passing through the notch almost without exchanging heat. CONSTITUTION:The air sucked from the front grill 6 exchanges heat in the heat exchanger 1 and is blown out through the fins 2 out of the blow out grill 4. Since a metallic sealing component 9 is inserted between the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger 1b, the air sucked from the front grill 6 is prevented from passing through the notch between the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger 1b almost without exchanging heat. In order to further improve the sealing, the upper and lower ends of the sealing component 9 are turned up. When the air conditioner is performing the cooling operation, water droplets 10 condensed on the front surface of the upper heat exchanger 1a will not drop out of the front surface of the upper heat exchanger 1a from the upper end of the notch. Instead, water droplets 10 are guided from the turned up part of the sealing component 9 to the heat transmission pipe 1d side of the upper heat exchanger 1a for processing the condensate.

In the figure, 1 is a heat exchanger, 2 is a fin, 3 is a water tray, 4 is a blow-off grill, 5 is an underframe, 6 is a front grill, 7 is a filter, and 8 is a vertical wind direction changing blade. Here, in the heat exchanger 1, the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger 1b are bent at a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction of the fin IC, and the fin 1c is bent between the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger 1b. heat exchange 1
Connects b. Air sucked in from the front grille 6 undergoes heat exchange by a heat exchanger l, and is blown out from the outlet grille 4 through the fins 2. At this time, by inserting a metallic sealing material 9 between the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger lb, air sucked in from the front surface of the front grille 6 can pass through the notches of the upper heat exchanger 1a and the lower heat exchanger 1b. through which little heat exchange takes place. Furthermore, in order to strengthen the sealing performance, the upper and lower ends of the sealing material 9 are folded. In addition, when the air conditioner is in cooling operation, the sealing material 9 prevents water droplets 10 condensed on the front surface of the upper heat exchanger 1a from dripping from the upper end of the notch of the upper heat exchanger 1a to the front surface.
Introduce water droplets 10 into the heat exchanger tube ld side of the upper heat exchanger 1a from the folded part of 4! By treating condensed water and using a metallic material for the sealing material, we aimed to improve the heat exchange performance of the air sucked in through the notch.
