Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of consulting a dictionary or re-inputting a character string by converting further the character string converted by a primary converting means into the character string optimum to an image a user intends. CONSTITUTION:A control means 10 transfers a KANA (Japanese syllabary) character inputted from an input means 20 successively to the primary converting means 60. The means 60 converts it into a KANJI (Chinese character) character string, and returns it to the means 10. Further, the means 10 transfers the KANJI character string received from the means 60 to a secondary converting means 70. The means 70 converts the received KANJI character string into another KANJI character string, and returns it to the means 10.
