Abstract

PURPOSE:To simultaneously resolve the prevention of leak and stuffiness by providing a leak preventing part composed of hydrophobic non-woven fabric to be extended upward with a side flap as a base end over a whole length in a lengthwise direction, making a leaking part fall in the inside direction of a diaper, adhering and fixing the leaking part to the surface sheet mold on an absorbing body. CONSTITUTION:The both end parts of a leak preventing part 2 in the lengthwise direction are folded to the inside of the diaper and adhered with a side flap 1 as the base end. For an upper flap 1, the non-woven fabric is double formed by being folded or singly formed and total stretches are required more than 15g/m<3>. For a stretchable elastic body 3 to be provided in the upper flap, urethane foam ts optimum in a meaning to keep an abutting feeling to the skin soft. As a method to fit the stretchable elastic body to the upper flap, a method by a hot melt adhesive agent is suitable. Thus, the diaper, for which the leak from the inside leg is improved and the stuffiness is simultaneously improved by applying permeability to the inside leg part, can be obtained at comparatively low cost.

[Prior art] A conventional disposable diaper has an absorbent body sandwiched between a top sheet and a back sheet, side flaps extending outward from both longitudinal edges of the absorbent body, and a stretchable elastic body inside the side flaps. This system is designed to prevent leakage by increasing the tightness of the diaper to the thighs when wearing the diaper.

In addition, as shown in Fig. 2, the diaper has a side flap 1 containing a stretchable elastic material, and an upper flap is installed on the inside of the diaper as a leakage prevention part 2, and is placed between the upper flap and the top sheet on the absorbent body. A diaper (hereinafter referred to as type A) in which a pocket portion 3 is formed to prevent leakage is known.

Furthermore, as shown in Fig. 3, the stretchable elastic body is not installed on the side flaps 1, but the stretchable elastic body is installed on the leak prevention part (upper flap part) 2, and the upper flap is attached to the abdomen area and back area of the diaper. A diaper (hereinafter referred to as type B) that is folded outward and fixed with adhesive to improve swelling is known.

In general, diapers belonging to any of the above-mentioned known forms have a part of the leg gears in the crotch area that prevent leakage.
There is no one that solves the problem of preventing stuffiness at the same time.

That is, in the case of type A diapers, the upper flap part 2 forms a pocket with the inner surface sheet, which is effective in preventing leakage, but the elastic body of the side flaps 1 seals the crotch area. There is no effect of preventing stuffiness. In addition, in the case of type B diapers, the side flaps do not have stretchable elastic material and the breathable upper flap seals the crotch area, which has the effect of improving stuffiness, but the upper flaps fall outward and the pocket area is closed. Since it is not produced, the effect of improving leakage is small.

The present invention provides a disposable diaper that has an absorbent body between a liquid-permeable top sheet and a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and a side that extends outward from both lateral edges of the absorbent body and that does not include an elastic body. The diaper has a flap, has a leak-proof part made of a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric extending upwardly from the side flap over the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the diaper, and has a stretchable elastic body in the core leak-proof part, and A disposable item characterized in that the leakage prevention part is folded inward of the diaper at both ends in the longitudinal direction, that is, the back region and the abdominal region, and is adhesively fixed on the side flaps or on the top sheet on the absorbent body. It's a diaper.

In other words, since the leak-proof part (upper flap part) extending upward is made of a hydrophobic non-woven fabric, the leak-proof part has breathability and prevents stuffiness. Since the part is folded inward of the diaper and adhesively fixed on the side flap or the top sheet on the absorbent body, there is a gap between the top sheet on the absorbent body and the leakage prevention part (upper flap part). A pocket is formed and improved leakage prevention is achieved.

The top sheet, back sheet, absorbent body, etc. used in this diaper can be those used in ordinary diapers, such as nonwoven fabric, polyethylene sheet, fluff pulp + super absorbent polymer, etc., respectively. Further, although the side flaps are usually made of a top sheet and a back sheet laminated together, it is more preferable to use a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric for the side flaps to prevent leakage.

The leak-proof part, ie, the upper flap, must be made of hydrophobic nonwoven fabric. As a guideline for its hydrophobicity, the leakage prevention effect is greater if it is 5 cm or more according to the flow length measurement method.

The total basis weight of the upper flap part needs to be 15 g/m2 or more, and if it is less than that, leakage is likely to occur. Similarly, when the total basis weight is 80 g/m'' or more, the air permeability decreases and the stuffiness improvement effect decreases.

The stretchable elastic body provided in the upper flap is not limited by material or form as long as it is stretchable such as natural thread comb, urethane film, urethane foam, etc., but it keeps the material soft against the baby's skin. In this sense, urethane foam is optimal. As a method for attaching the stretchable elastic body to the upper flap, a method using a hot melt adhesive is suitable, and in the case of urethane foam, the elastic body is adhesively fixed in a state where it is stretched within a range of 150% to 250%. If the stretch rate is less than 150%, no pocket will be formed between the top sheet on the absorbent body and the upper flap, and the contact against the baby's thighs will be weak, reducing the leakage prevention effect. On the other hand, if the elasticity is high (250% or more), it will dig into the baby's skin when the diaper is worn, causing problems. The other materials also need to have a stretch rate that is sufficient to form a pocket, and must be adjusted to a range that is not too strong.

A suitable width for the upper flap is 10 mm to 50 mm; if it is less than 10 mm, its function as a leak prevention part will be reduced, and if it is longer than 50 mm, the absorbing part will become narrow and leakage may occur easily.
