Means for Solving the Problems The earth retaining method according to the present invention includes installing a plurality of widening members, each having a width larger than a height and having horizontal grooves on the left and right end surfaces, spaced appropriately on the embankment;
Two sets of tension members are hooked into the left and right grooves of the widening member and stretched between adjacent widening members, and two sets of steel wires are used as two sets of tension members between the adjacent widening members. An anchor is inserted into the convergence member and brought close to it, and the earth retaining panel is fixed to the anchor by repeating filling and anchor installation on the anchor.

<3> Installation of widening member Install widening member 3 on the embankment 2 ground. In the embodiment, the widening member 3 is made of precast concrete and is formed into an oval shape with a width w larger than a height h. Horizontal grooves 4 are formed in the left and right end surfaces of the widening member 3, respectively.

<4> Arrangement of steel wire In the embodiment, two steel wires 5, 5 as two sets of tension members are hooked into the left and right grooves 4, 4 of the widening member 3, respectively, and placed between the adjacent widening members 3, 3. across.
Reinforcing bars, prestressed steel stranded wires, small-diameter PC steel bars, stranded reinforcing bars, etc. can be used as tension materials, and one or more of them can be bundled together to form a set of tension materials.

Two steel wires 5, 5 are inserted into the converging member 6 between the adjacent widening members 3, 3. The convergence member 6 includes two cylindrical plastic rings 7, 7.
Then, the steel wires 5, 5, which are made of a long cylindrical steel ring 8 and are inserted into the plastic rings 2, 2, respectively, are fitted into the steel ring 8, and the two steel wires 5, 5 are brought close to each other.
