ツプガスケツトを介してメイテイングリングを固
定し、このメイテイングリングにパツキンで抱持
されたシールリングを摺接させ、かつこのパツキ
ンを前記回転軸の軸周にガータスプリングを介し
て圧接固定するとともに、前記シールリングをコ
イルスプリングの付勢力によりメイテイングリン
グ側に押圧付勢して、前記機体のハウジング内へ
浸入する流体を密封してなるメイテイングシール
において、前記シールリングの摺動面に、シール
液が外周面の密封流体側に循環流通可能な連通孔
を形成したことを特徴とするメカニカルシール。 ２ 連通孔をシールリングの回転による密封流体
の流れに対して負圧を呈するようにスパイラル状
に形成したことを特徴とする請求項１記載のメカ
