Traditionally, at piers where small craft such as yachts, motorboats, and fishing boats are moored, discarded tires are hung as they are as cushioning material for alongside, or the treads of discarded tires are cut off and attached to the legs or side of the pier. A method of winding and fixing is adopted. Furthermore, a small rubber fender having a cylindrical, rectangular, or inverted V-shaped cross section as shown in FIG. However, in the rubber composition that is its main constituent material,
Since carbon rack is always included as a reinforcing filler, the pure white hulls of yachts etc. are stained by the friction with the cushioning equipment when berthed. The anti-aging agent may migrate and penetrate into the paint of the ship's hull that is in contact with the buffer during berth, causing the paint to yellow.

In order to prevent the occurrence of the above-mentioned inconvenient situation, the present applicant previously devised Utility Model Application No. 53-25398 (Kokoku Utility Model No. 56-3379) to prevent the fender from at least the area in contact with the ship's hull. We proposed a technology in which the surface of the rubber composition is made of a rubber composition that does not contain carbon black and contains a non-staining anti-aging agent. With this configuration, the problem of contamination and discoloration of the hull was temporarily solved.

However, on the other hand, there is a problem in that the rubbing action between the side of a ship coming ashore and the rubber fender can cause scratches on the surface of the ship's hull or the fender.

The applicant has also planted synthetic resin pile threads on at least the surface of the fender that contacts the hull (impact receiving surface) as a structure that can simultaneously solve the above-mentioned problems of contamination and discoloration and abrasion damage. We developed a rubber fender with artificial grass covered in it and filed it as Utility Application No. 130927-1983. (Utility Model Application No. 61-45427) [Problems to be Solved] However, even the rubber fender according to the above invention is not completely free from problems. In general, when rubber fenders are attached to a quay for a long period of time, organic matter such as shellfish and seaweeds adheres to the surface of the parts that frequently come into contact with seawater, so there is friction between these organic matter, especially shellfish. damage to the hull.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems and provides a rubber fender that can solve the problems of contamination, discoloration, and abrasion damage to the ship's hull, and at the same time can effectively prevent the attachment of organic matter such as shellfish. The artificial lawn used for the fender of this invention may be of a known type, for example, made of synthetic resin such as polyamide or polyurethane, and is made of numerous strips of strips that are integrally erected on a base using a molding method. A structural type can be used, but if at least the need to weave the copper wires into either the base or the strip so that they are exposed on the surface, and the sagging resistance and durability of the artificial lawn itself are taken into consideration. , polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, polyurethane, polyvinylidene chloride, polypropylene, etc., are used as the pile yarn, or a flat yarn is made by melt spinning through a nozzle with irregular cross-sectional holes, and this is used as the pile yarn for the backing base. Preferably, it is planted on cloth.

Copper fine wire accounts for approximately 1% or more of the pile yarn to be planted.
It is embedded in the base fabric or woven into the base fabric together with the pile yarn at a rate of 50%. Of course, it may be woven into both the pile yarn and the base fabric.

As mentioned above, this fender is equipped with artificial grass containing thin copper wires at least on the surface that contacts the ship's hull, so the ship's hull does not come into direct contact with the surface of the rubber fender, and therefore carbon Contamination due to migration of black and staining anti-aging agents is prevented.

In addition, the cushioning properties and low friction properties unique to artificial grass can effectively prevent scratches on the hull.

What is even more important than the above is that thin copper wires are woven into the artificial lawn. For this reason,
When the thin copper wire gets wet with seawater, Cu ++ ions are leached out and act as a disinfectant to kill organic matter such as shellfish.
Or prevent the attachment of the organic matter. Therefore, the problem of damage to the hull due to attached shellfish and the like in conventional fenders is solved. The effect of Cu ++ ions on killing or preventing the adhesion of organic matter is well known for paints on ships and marine structures.

In this fender constructed as described above, when a ship berths, the main body of the fender 1 absorbs the berthing load by bending, and as shown in FIG. Since the artificial lawn 5 is interposed between the hull S and the main body, it is possible to prevent the hull S from being soiled by adhesion of carbon black or migration of contaminating anti-aging agents. As the thin wire 8 is bent by pressure contact with the hull S,
The low friction characteristic of the polyamide constituting the pile yarn 7 prevents abrasions from occurring on the surface of the hull S, similar to the effect of anti-abrasion pads attached to the impact-receiving surface of known fenders.

As detailed above, the present invention prevents the pure white hulls of yachts and the like from getting dirty due to contact with fenders, and also provides excellent scratch resistance and ability to prevent the adhesion of organic substances such as shellfish. We will provide rubber fenders with the necessary features, thereby contributing to the improvement of mooring functions in port facilities.
