本考案は、スラントノーズタイプの自動車に装
着したリトラクタブルヘツドランプの車体カバー
に構成するダミーレンズに係り、特に該ダミーレ
ンズを照明可能にした自動車用灯具に関するもの

タイプの自動車にあつては、ヘツドランプをリト
ラクタブルに構成し、該ヘツドランプの不使用時
には車体内に回動格納すると共に、その外側を車
体側デザインと一体になる車体カバーで被蓋して
おき、使用時に該車体カバーと共にヘツドランプ
を上方に回動起立させ得るように成つている。こ
の車体カバーには、ヘツドランプ格納時にサイド
クリアランスランプとデザイン的に一体化する非
照明のダミーレンズが装着されており、その裏面
には拡散反射構造が形成されていることもあつ
て、外観上何らかの照明装置が付設されているよ
うに誤認されるものであつた。

に構成した、例えばスモーククリアの装飾用ダミ
ーレンズであり、裏面略全面に適宜形状の拡散プ
リズムを形成したものである。このダミーレンズ
3の裏面において略その全面を照射し得る大きさ
の導光板4を配置する。この導光板4は、その側
方に受光部4aを具備すると共に裏面側に適宜ヘ
アーライン又は点刻等の散光構造4bを施し、且
つ上記受光部4aにはケース5に支持した光源用
の小型バルブ6を対向配置し、該小型バルブ6の
放射光を受光し得るようにしたものである。而し
て、該小型バルブ6を点灯させると導光板4内に
導入した光が、上記散光構造4b部で屈曲反射し
て表面側へ輝光し、ダミーレンズ3を照明するよ

と共に、該ダミーレンズに形成した拡散プリズム
本来の光学的機能を有効に利用して装飾用レンズ
としての装飾性やフアツシヨン性を高め、且つ車
体カバーの回動起立時には該ダミーレンズをフエ
ンダーマーカーとして使用させ得る効果を併有さ
せ得るものである等、本考案実施後の実用上の効
果に優れている。
