- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 装着されたリールの回転を検出する回転検出セ
ンサと、 前記リールより引き出された磁気テープの始点
を検出する始点検出器と、 前記磁気テープを走行させるキヤプスタンの回
転に対応したパルスを発生するエンコーダと、 前記始点を検出するため、前記磁気テープを走
行させた場合において、前記リールが所定数回転
したときの前記エンコーダの出力から、前記リー
ルの径を演算する制御回路とを備えるリールサイ
ズ検出装置。
