Abstract

PURPOSE:To save labor for registering sheet by sheet of printing after establishing a paper feed amount once by a method wherein paper is automatically fed to a necessary position when printing paper is printed. CONSTITUTION:A serial printer is composed of a paper sensor part 1, a paper feed amount setting part 2, a paper feed part to a set amount 3, an LF motor control part 4, a switch 5, and an LF motor 6. The paper sensor part 1 detects presence of paper, sends a signal for determination of a reference position of the paper. The paper feed amount setting part 2 moves the paper to the reference position and thereafter, determines a paper feed amount to the necessary position. Further, the set amount paper feed part 3 moves the paper to the reference position and thereafter, feeds the paper by an amount set with the paper feed amount setting part 2. A platen 7 is rotated under a state wherein a paper sensor 9 detects no-presence of the paper, and a position wherein the presence of the paper is detected is taken as the reference position of the paper. By feeding automatically the paper to the necessary position, the reference position of the paper is determined and thereby, registration of transfer is made unnecessary.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a serial printer, and particularly to a serial printer having a function of automatically feeding printing paper to a required position.
