[Prior Art] Detection sensors installed in or near the spray gun to detect objects to be coated or other objects that may become obstacles include ultrasonic switches, phototube switches, and the like. When these detection sensors become contaminated with particles of paint sprayed from a spray gun, detection becomes unstable and uncertain, leading to problems such as malfunctions. For this reason, a method is adopted in which a hood is provided on the detection sensor section and air piping is provided to the hood to provide dustproof measures using purge air. In this case, a method is usually used in which an air pipe for purge air is used separately from the spray gun, and regulated air is constantly fed through a throttle valve or the like.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] As mentioned above, the air sent into the detection sensor part as a dustproof measure for conventional detection sensors was always sent from outside the spray gun, separate from the air blown by the spray gun for atomizing. The air circuit was a separate system, which made the circuit and control more complex, and caused problems in terms of price and air consumption.

[Means for Solving the Problem] In a spray gun that has a built-in blowing air passage for spraying and is equipped with a detection sensor for detecting an object to be coated, there is provided an air passage connected to the detection sensor in front of the detection sensor. An air outlet for preventing paint adhesion is provided, and the air outlet is connected to the air outlet through a connection port branched from the blowing air passage.

[Function] With the above structure, the air whose pressure is regulated inside the spray gun is purged from the air outlet for preventing paint adhesion only during spraying, thereby preventing paint from adhering to the detection sensor. Also, according to the merits of the case,
There is no need to provide a separate air circuit with air piping from outside the spray gun, and there is no need to use a throttle valve to regulate the pressure of purge air, which simplifies the configuration and reduces air consumption. Since this is only done when spraying, the amount can be reduced.

[Embodiment] FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view of a spray gun showing one embodiment of the present invention. The spray gun 10 is a conventionally known air spray gun, and the atomizing part is composed of an air cap 1, a paint nozzle 2, a needle valve 3, etc., and although not shown in the drawing, there is an operating part at the rear. , spraying is performed by operating the adjustment section. Air for spraying is introduced into the spray gun 10 from the spray air passage 4. A spray air passage 4 built into the spray gun is connected to a connection port 8 branched from the spray air passage 4 to a paint adhesion prevention outlet 7 provided in a hood 6 that encloses a detection sensor 5 provided near the atomization part. connected via.

When spraying with a spray gun, the spray air is sent to the air cap 1 through the spray air passage 4, and then the needle valve 3 is opened to spray the paint, which is mixed with the spray air and diffused, so that the paint becomes atomized. The sprayed air is directed toward the object to be coated, and at the same time, the sprayed air passes through the connection port 8 and is injected in front of the detection sensor 5 from the paint adhesion prevention outlet 7. Therefore, even if paint mist or the like during spraying comes close to the detection sensor portion, it is blown away by the air, thereby preventing staining. In the present embodiment, the hood 6, which is a housing portion for the detection sensor 5, is formed as a part of the spray gun body, but it can be formed separately or integrally.

Furthermore, the outlet for preventing paint adhesion should be equipped with a means to disperse the spray so that it is evenly sprayed in front of the detection sensor, or if there is no problem, a filter should be installed in the opening of the hood that covers the front of the detection sensor. A method may also be used in which compressed air is fed.

[Effects of the invention] A connection port is provided that branches from the blowing air passage built into the spray gun and connects to the blowout port for preventing paint adhesion, and the pressure of the spray gun is regulated and purge air for dust prevention is used. There is no need to set up a separate air circuit from outside the spray gun, and
Since adjusted air pressure for spraying is introduced as purge air without using a throttle valve or the like, the configuration is extremely simplified. In addition, since the amount of air consumed is not constant, but only during spraying when air pressure is introduced into the blowing air passage, the amount of air consumed can be reduced.
