動原稿送り装置であつて、 上記の無端ベルトの駆動装置としてサーボモー
タが使用され、 上記無端ベルトの移動量に比較するパルスを発
生するパルス発生手段及び コンタクトガラス上への原稿搬送路に設けられ
、原稿の先端又は後端を検知するレジストセンサ を有し、 上記レジストセンサにより原稿端検知後、レジ
ストセンサ位置から原稿基準位置までの距離に相
当するパルス数だけ上記サーボモータを回転させ
た後ベルトを停止させ、原稿を基準位置に停止さ
せる非突当てモードと、 上記レジストセンサにより原稿端検知後、レジ
ストセンサ位置から原稿基準位置までの距離に相
当するパルス数より多いパルス数だけ上記サーボ
モータを回転させて原稿を基準位置を越えて搬送
し、停止した後、上記パルス発生手段により検知
されるコンタクトガラス上の原稿位置から基準位
置迄の距離よりもやゝ大きめの距離に相当するパ
ルス数だけモータを逆回転させ原稿端縁を基準位
置のスケールに突当てた後ベルトを停止させる突
当てモード との2種類の原稿設置モードを有するものにおい
て、 原稿給紙経路のレジストセンサより上流側に原
稿厚さ検知手段を設け、 これにより検知された原稿厚さをあらかじめ設
定された値と比較して、検知厚さが設定値より小

設定値以上の場合は突当てモードを選択するよう
に自動的に制御する制御手段を有することを特徴
