It can be used as an electrical contact for the keyboard of OA equipment, a power switch that is turned on and off by operating the screen opening/closing lid of a small LCD television receiver, and a power switch that is turned on and off by separating the earphone connection of a card radio. Conventionally, small microswitches have been used.

As shown in FIG. 3, the principle of operation of the basic switch, the conventional micro switch 10 has a tension member 2
One end of the compression member 50 is fixed to the fixed base 30 and the other end is set as a free end, and a movable contact 40 is provided at the tip thereof. locked in state. Furthermore, the movable contact 40 is brought into contact with one of the two fixed contacts 80 and 90 by a snap action by the tension member 20 and the compression member 50 in response to the external force 70 applied from a direction perpendicular to the tension member 20. It is configured as follows.

Since the conventional micro switch 10 switches the contacts using a snap action, it is possible to reliably interrupt and conduct the electrical circuit.
It is widely used in various electronic devices.

However, although small-sized versions of the micro switch 10 are available, in order to switch the contact point using a snap action, the external force 70 applied by a leaf spring such as the tension member 20 is applied horizontally to the direction in which the external force 70 is applied. The length l in the direction greatly affects the stroke of the movable contact 40.

Therefore, if the tension member 20 and the like are shortened in order to shorten the lateral length l relative to the external force 70, the snap action movement of the movable contact 40 and the abutment against the fixed contacts 80 and 90 cannot be ensured. , the reliability of electrical circuit interruption and continuity is reduced.

Therefore, the length of the tension member 20 etc. cannot be reduced much, and the microswitch 10 requires a correspondingly large amount of installation space in the plane orthogonal to the pressing direction. As a result, this becomes a factor that hinders the miniaturization of devices, and there is also the problem that the switches cannot be arranged with a sufficiently high packaging density.

The purpose of the present invention was made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and is to provide a small switch that can minimize the installation space on a surface perpendicular to the pressing direction and that can stably switch the contacts. .

The means of the present invention includes an electrically conductive tube body, a cylindrical electrically conductive spring body that is stretched on the inner surface of the tube body and has an inwardly biased elastic portion in a part thereof, and one end of the spring body. an insulating holding member that locks and is attached to the inside of the tube body; a conductive terminal member that has a flat portion inside the tube body and is surrounded by the holding member; and a conductive terminal member that is installed inside the tube body. a conductive contact movable in the opposite direction, which faces the flat surface of the terminal member and is elastically held in sliding contact with the biasing surface of the conductive spring body; and conductive contact with the terminal member. A conductive coil spring stretched between the coil springs,
an insulating button having a protrusion that fits with the conductive contact and protrudes from the tube body,
By pressing the protruding portion of the button, conduction and interruption control of the energization paths of the tube body, the conductive spring body, the conductive contact, the coil spring, and the terminal member is controlled.

In the above means, when the button 1 is not pressed, the conductive contact 2 is positioned toward the button side of the tube body 3 due to the bias of the conductive coil spring 5, and the conductive spring body 4 and the contact are electrically connected. Therefore, an energizing path is formed for the terminal member 6, the coil spring 5, the contact 2, the spring body 4, and the tube body 3, and the state is turned on.

On the other hand, when button 1 is pressed, contact 2 is moved by spring 5.
It slides toward the terminal member 6 side against the force. Due to this sliding, the electrical contact between the contact 2 and the spring body 4 is released, and the energization path is cut off. The switch is then turned off.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is an off switch that turns off when pressed, and is a very small switch with a total length of about 5 mm and a diameter of about 4 φ mm, for example. A diaphragm is formed by leaving a hole through the left end of the conductive tube body 3, which is an outer cylinder, in the figure. Further, a long terminal plate 8 is left uncut at the right end, and the other parts are bent and partially crimped to prevent the built-in members from popping out. As shown in FIG. 1, inside the tube body 3, a Tsuzumi-shaped spring body (plate spring) 4 made of an electrically conductive material (for example, phosphor bronze) acts on the elastic force of an elastic portion 4a biased inward of the tube body 3. It is elastically held on the inner surface of the tube body 3 by. This spring body 4 is made by forming a plurality of slit windows 4a in a thin plate-like material 41, as shown in FIG. It is biased in the direction to form a Tsutsumi shape. A movable insulating button 1 that is in sliding contact with the inwardly projecting surface of the Tsutsumi type spring has only its small diameter portion 1a exposed to the outside through the through hole of the tube body 3, and a constricted portion 3a formed in the tube body 3. It is prevented from falling out. The button 1 has an exposed small diameter part 1a and a large diameter part 1b integrally located inside, and is made of insulating resin or the like, and the right end surface of the large diameter part 1b is largely countersunk and made of metal. A portion of the electrically conductive contact 2 is fitted and fixed by press-fitting or other means. Therefore, the large diameter portion 1b of the button 1 and the contact 2
The outer circumferential surfaces of each are flush with each other and have a surface that replaces the insulating member with the conductive member. Further, a counterbore portion 2a is formed at the right end of the contactor 2, into which the base of a conductive coil spring 5 is fitted and held. The connecting terminal 6b is pressed against the conductive terminal member 6 protruding from the terminal member 6. This terminal member 6 has a central protrusion projecting outwardly and is held by a holding member 7 made of an insulating material, and the peripheral end of this holding member 7 locks the right end of the Tsuzumi type spring body 4. The right end is fixed by the caulking portion 3b of the tube body 3 to prevent it from coming off.

In this configuration, when the small diameter portion 1a of the button 1 is not pressed, the contact 2 and the button 1 are urged by the spring 5 toward the surface of the tube body 3 opposite to the terminal 6. At this time, the elastic part 4 of the spring body 4
a is in contact with the contact 2, thus forming an energizing path for the terminal member 6, coil spring 5, contact 2, spring body 4, and tube body 3, and connecting terminal 6b of the terminal member 6 and tube body 3. The terminal board 8 is electrically connected, and the switch is turned on.

On the other hand, when the small diameter portion 1a of the button 1 is pressed, the contact 2 resists the coil spring 5 and the terminal member 6
Slide to the side. This sliding causes the large diameter portion 1b of the button 1 to come into contact with the elastic portion 4a of the spring body 4, and the electrical contact between the contact 2 and the spring body 4 is released.

The on/off operation of the switch is performed by sliding the button 1 and the contact 2. At this time, since the spring body 4 is in sliding contact with the button 1 and the contact 2, the contact surfaces of the spring body 4 are always cleaned. Therefore, it is possible to prevent poor conduction or incomplete conduction (increase in resistance value) caused by the formation of an oxide film or the like on the surface.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the contact surface of the contact element slides into contact with the spring body that performs electrical conduction and interruption, the contact surface can be constantly cleaned and on/off operations can be performed reliably.

Furthermore, there is no wobbling when the button 1 is pressed, and the on/off switching operation can be performed smoothly. Therefore, a highly accurate and compact microswitch can be constructed.
