により前記静止側シール部材を回転側シール部材

材とに所定の面圧を付与してなるロータリジヨイ
ントにおいて、前記付勢機構の押圧力を変化させ
る面圧調整機構を設けたことを特徴とするロータ
リジヨイント。 (2) ケーシングと、このケーシング内に後端部
を挿入され回転自在に支持される回転部材と、こ
の回転部材の後端に固定される回転側シール部材
と、この回転側シール部材の後端面に当接される
静止側シール部材と、この静止側シール部材を支
持しケーシングの軸長方向に移動可能とされるス
リーブと、このスリーブと所定間隔を置いて配置
されケーシングの軸長方向に移動可能とされるピ
ストン部材と、このピストン部材と前記スリーブ
との間に配置されスリーブを回転部材側に付勢す
るスプリングと、前記ピストン部材をケーシング
の軸長方向に移動する移動機構と、前記回転部材
、回転側シール部材、静止側シール部材、スリー
ブおよびピストン部材を連通してケーシングの軸
長方向に形成される流体通路と、前記ケーシング
に開口しピストン部材の後端面に連通する流体供
給口とを備えたことを特徴とするロータリジヨイ
