方向からの土圧による折損がなくなり、その回転
方向の背面側となる超硬チツプの剥離や母材部分
の摩耗が少いシールド掘削機の余掘り用カツター
の提供を目的としたものである。

母材の前記カツターヘツド前進面の両側縁におけ
る上部から下部までを切削刃部となし、該切削刃
部にはその一部又は略全域にわたつて超硬材料か
らなる超硬チツプを固着するとともに前記カツタ
ー母材の前進面及び頂部にあつて両切削刃部の間
に、先端を該両切削刃部より前方側へ突出させた
1個又は複数個の先行ビツトを備えたのである。

削され、安定した切削が得られることとなつたも
のであり、しかもその切削刃部は全体が超硬チツ
プで形成されているため母材の摩耗が小さくな
り、更に先行ビツトを備えたことにより切削刃部
による切削が容易になりしかも回転方向背面側に
対する土砂の背圧が小さくなつて、超硬チツプの
剥離やカツター母材の摩耗が著しく小さくなつた
ものである。
