《Conventional technology》 Regarding the use of cooling and cold water supply for houses, buildings, etc.
A liquid ice thermal storage cooling system that uses liquid ice thermal storage instead of the general water thermal storage system or solid ice thermal storage system is attracting attention. This system uses a refrigeration cycle consisting of a compressor, condenser, pressure regulating valve, and evaporator to store liquid ice, which is a mixture of ice and water, obtained by sprinkling water on the surface of the evaporator. The cold energy is stored in a tank and supplied to the outside via a heat transfer medium. In this system, during the ice making process, an anti-icing agent such as ethylene glycol is mixed into the sprinkled water in order to prevent ice from forming on the surface of the ice maker, that is, the evaporator, and deterioration of ice making capacity due to dew condensation. I was doing it.

<<Function>> In the liquid ice manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, a refrigeration cycle is formed by the configuration of a compressor, a condenser, a pressure adjustment valve, and an evaporator, and ice is made.
Since a hydrophobic coating film is formed on the surface of the evaporation substrate, no ice or dew condensation occurs during this refrigeration cycle operation, and the formed ice blocks naturally fall and are stored in the ice heat storage tank. The melted water in the ice heat storage tank becomes ice cubes again through the refrigeration cycle.

This liquid ice storage type cooling system includes a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a pressure adjustment valve 3, and an evaporator 4.
A closed loop consisting of the following forms a refrigeration cycle. A plurality of evaporation substrates 6 are used as the evaporator 4, and a refrigerant such as ammonia or chlorofluorocarbon is circulated through the substrates 6 by the above system, and heat absorption due to the phase change of this refrigerant is utilized. Water droplets sprayed in a shower from the water sprinkler 5 above are brought into contact with the evaporation substrate 6, thereby causing the water droplets to solidify and grow to form ice blocks 20. At this time, some of the water droplets are not solidified and become water droplets 23 in the form of unfrozen blocks.

Hydrophobic coating films 7 are formed on both surfaces of these evaporation substrates 6, and their water-repellent action prevents ice blocks from adhering to the substrate surfaces. This hydrophobic coating film is, for example, the trademark "Teflon",
It is made of a substance like the one shown in "VELLOX". The water droplets 23 of ice blocks 20 or unfrozen blocks formed on the evaporation substrate 6 fall by gravity and are stored in an ice heat storage tank 8 covered with a heat insulating material, where they are mixed with melted water to form liquid ice 21. form. Then, melt water 2 was partially separated due to the difference in specific gravity.
2 is circulated and fed to the water sprinkler 5 by the water feeder 9, and liquid ice 21 is formed again by the same process.

Further, the ice heat storage tank 8 is provided with a heat conduction medium 10 that conducts the cold heat of the stored liquid ice 21 to the outside, so that cold heat is sent from the heat conduction medium when necessary such as during the daytime. It is used to cool homes, buildings, etc.

Further, the partially dissolved water 22 is used as cold drinking water. In this case, a heat exchanger may be provided to isolate it from the primary side and cool the tap water.

Incidentally, the liquid ice manufacturing apparatus of the present invention has an evaporation substrate 6
Since the hydrophobic coating film 7 is formed on the surface, various applications are possible without being limited to the above-mentioned embodiments. For example, if used in a seawater desalination plant or a juice concentration device, even if seawater or juice concentrate is directly sprayed onto the evaporation substrate, the evaporation substrate of the present invention will be hydrophobic, water repellent, and non-freezing due to the hydrophobic coating film. Since it has rust prevention properties and non-contamination properties caused by moisture, clean solidified and unsolidified products can be obtained without reducing ice making ability. Thereafter, fresh water or concentrated youth with a desired concentration can be obtained by separating seawater or raw youth solution from water based on their different freezing points.

<<Effects of the invention>> As described above, according to the liquid ice manufacturing apparatus of the present invention, a water-repellent coating film is formed on the surface of the evaporation substrate, so it is not necessary to use an anti-icing agent such as ethylene glycol as in the conventional method. It is not necessary to make ice by mixing it with water, and the ice making capacity can be increased.
Therefore, complicated concentration control of the anti-icing agent is unnecessary.
