Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the visible image formability by exposing and printing resistance, etc., of the photosensitive printing plate by confining the moisture content ratio of at least either of backing boards and slip-sheets to be used at the time of superposing the photosensitive printing plates on each other onto a base to <=8%. CONSTITUTION:The upper surfaces of the photosensitive printing plates 1 are formed as photosensitive surfaces. The slip-sheets 2 are prepd. and are interposed between the photosensitive printing plates at the time of superposing, for example, 50 sheets of such plates on each other. The backing boards 3 are disposed on the top and bottom surfaces and are used as buffer materials for impact. The entire part is packed by a moistureproof material, for example, moistureproof paper 4. The moisture content ratio of the slip-sheets 2 or the backing boards 3 is confined to >=8% in this case. The photosensitive surfaces are, therefore, hardly affected by the moisture. The deterioration in the visible image formability by exposing and the printing resistance, etc., during the packing and storage is prevented in this way.

Generally, a photosensitive printing plate is one in which a photosensitive resin is formed on a support such as an aluminum plate. This photosensitive printing plate is usually quite large, about 1 m x 1 m, and weighs 500 to 1000 g per sheet, which is quite heavy.

However, conventionally, no consideration has been given to the moisture content of the interleaf paper and the padding ball, and therefore, during the rainy season, the moisture content is 50% or more.

On the other hand, the present inventors have found that a photosensitive printing plate that exhibits good exposure-visible image quality and printing durability in the laboratory stage shows similar exposure-visible image quality and printing durability when actually plate-made. We often faced situations where we were unable to obtain the desired product. We investigated the cause of this problem and found that the photosensitive surface absorbs moisture during packaging and storage.

Therefore, the main purpose of the present invention is to improve the characteristics of photosensitive printing plates,
For example, it is an object of the present invention to provide a packaging method that does not cause deterioration in exposure visibility or printing durability.

In the present invention, since the packaging is carried out in an extremely low moisture content of 8% or less of the mount or the pad, there is almost no influence of moisture on the photosensitive surface. Therefore, it is possible to prevent deterioration of exposure visibility, printing durability, etc. during packaging and storage.

Photosensitive printing plates are generally produced by coating a photosensitive composition on a support such as an aluminum plate, irradiating it with active light such as ultraviolet rays through a negative image, and polymerizing or crosslinking the irradiated areas to form a phenomenon liquid. Insolubilize and elute the non-irradiated areas into the phenomenon liquid, making each area an image area that repels water and accepts oil-based ink, and a non-image area that accepts water and repels oil-based ink. It is obtained by

In any case, a printing plate in which the photosensitive resin as described above is provided on a support, such as an aluminum plate, is manufactured by processes such as degreasing of the support, graining, electrolytic polishing, anodizing, washing, drying, When a series of processes such as photosensitive liquid application, cutting, and surface inspection are completed, the resulting photosensitive printing plate, regardless of whether it is a negative type or a positive type, is packaged according to the present invention as shown in Figure 1. , and are stored until they are put through the plate-making machine.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a photosensitive printing plate, and in this example, the upper surface is the photosensitive surface. When stacking, for example, 50 sheets of these, interleaf paper 2 is prepared and interposed between them. In addition, contact balls 3 are placed on the upper and lower surfaces to serve as shock absorbers. Furthermore, the whole is packed with a moisture-proof material, such as moisture-proof paper 4.
