However, the box pleats sewn as described above are not desirable in terms of design as sewn products because two parallel seams appear on the bottom side of the box pleat in Figure 7, which is the front side of the garment. Therefore, the product value as a sewn product was low.

This idea was made in order to solve the above problem, and it is a cloth for forming box pleats by expanding the pleats of cloth, which are made by linearly stitching pleats with a certain spacing and height, from the inside. The guide tool is composed of a flat substrate, a guide body with a groove that gradually becomes narrower in width and shallower in depth toward the tip, and arranged on the substrate, and a plurality of pieces on the upper surface of the guide body. The position of the groove at the tip is the seam pitch of the pleat.
A positioning plate that is approximately equal to P 1 and is located at the center of the tip of the concave groove of the guide body, and is formed so that the width of the groove gradually increases toward the tip; A long insertion plate whose width is slightly narrower than the width of the groove tip.

In advance, pleats with a certain spacing and height as shown in Figure 5 are sewn in a straight line using a single needle sewing machine, then the fabric is turned inside out and inserted into the pleats as shown in Figure 6. Insert each insertion plate and let the fabric hang on the insertion plate. In this state, insert the pleats and insertion plate into the groove of the guide body, and insert the seam into the groove of the positioning plate, and then insert the fabric. gradually pull it out to the tip of the guide. As a result, the cloth drawn out from the tip of the guide is bent as shown in FIG. 4, and by feeding the cloth tip to a roller press or the like, a box pleat is formed on the cloth.
以下図面によりこの考案の実施例を説明する。 Embodiments of this invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

is bent upward into a U-shape to form a groove 5, and this groove 5 has a high rear end (right end) and gradually deepens toward the tip, as shown in FIG. It is formed so that the depth is shallow, and its width is the same as that of the third and fourth
As shown in the figure, it is gradually narrowed toward the tip, and the inner width of the tip is formed to be slightly wider than the widened width D of the pleat 6 shown in FIG. 5 as shown in FIG. 7. These guide bodies 4a, 4b, 4c are
The grooves 5 are fixed to the substrate 1 so that the distance P 2 between the center lines X of the widths of the grooves 5 substantially coincides with the pitch P 1 of the seam portion of the pleats 6 shown in FIG.

As described above, in this invention, a cloth with pleats of a certain height sewn together using a single-needle sewing machine is set in the cloth guide of this invention, and then the cloth is pulled out from the tip and pressed. With a chisel, it is possible to form box pleats that are even on the left and right from the seam without requiring the operator's sense of touch, and the box pleats formed as shown in Figure 7 do not show the sewing machine seams on the outside of the garment. This has the effect of improving the quality of sewn products and producing products with high commercial value, and does not require any skill to form box pleats.
Even beginners can form box pleats with high commercial value accurately, and work efficiency is improved.
