向への往復動可能に設けられ、各ニードル５によ
り打ち込まれた原糸６を捕捉するための下部捕捉
部１５を形成したルーパ１３と、 前記ルーパ１３の下部捕捉部１５に捕捉された
原糸６を抜け落ち不能に係止する規制位置と、
下部捕捉部１５に一旦捕捉された原糸６が離脱す
るのを許容する許容位置とを採り得る係脱選択
手段１７と、 前記ニードル５及びルーパ１３の動きと同期す
るよう略上下方向への往復動可能に設けられ、各
ルーパ１３の下部捕捉部１５に係止された原糸６
を切断するための下部切り刃２７ａを有するナイ
フ２６と を備えたタフテイングマシンであつて、 前記各ルーパ１３における下部捕捉部１５の上
方位置には、その下部捕捉部１５から離脱する原
糸６を捕捉するための上部捕捉部１４を設けると
ともに、その上部捕捉部１４には、捕捉された原
糸６を抜け落ち不能に係止する係止突起１４ａを
