DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Generally, after more than 10 years have passed in a house, interior walls such as fiber walls inside the house become old, deteriorating the aesthetic appearance and making the house less livable. For this reason, it becomes necessary to remove old walls and repaint them. In addition, even relatively new interior walls are often removed and replaced with interior decoration of a novel design in order to redecorate a room.

Traditionally, walls that have been painted once in this way (hereinafter simply referred to as old walls) are cleaned by scraping them off while dry, applying water with a brush, or spraying with water using a sprayer. The method used was to soak it in water and scrape it off when it swelled.

If it gets wet, it will fall on the floor, staining the floor, and you will have to raise the tatami mat. Also, it is difficult to absorb moisture evenly, so you will have problems such as dust rising and staining furniture and fittings, just like when you scrape it off when it is dry. occurs. As a result, the work involved moving furniture and fixtures to separate rooms, raising and cleaning up tatami mats, and other tedious tasks.

In view of this situation, the inventor of the present invention has made extensive studies on methods for removing old walls, and has created an old wall remover composition that utilizes the properties of water-absorbing resin, which can be easily applied to old walls. The present invention was achieved by finding out that it is possible to peel off the film.

That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for easily removing old walls and an old wall removing agent composition used therein, which is a mixture of a water-absorbing resin and a powder such as an inorganic substance, An old wall stripping agent composition containing 10% by weight or more of a water-absorbing resin in the mixture, and a gel-like material obtained by adding 50 to 300 times more water to this composition and uniformly mixing it, are applied uniformly onto the old wall. This method involves applying it, allowing moisture to penetrate, and then peeling it off along with the old wall.

The water-absorbing resin used in the present invention is polyacrylate, starch-acrylonitrile graft copolymer and its hydrolyzate, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, methyl (meth)acrylate-vinyl acetate copolymer hydrolyzate, cellulose -Crosslinked products such as sodium acrylate graft copolymers, among others, the use of crosslinked polyacrylates provides excellent effects. All of them are insoluble in water and can absorb and contain several hundred times as much water, and can apply this moisture to old walls to moisten them.

The old wall stripper composition of the present invention contains 10% by weight or more of the water-absorbing resin, preferably a mixture of 30-70% by weight of the water-absorbing resin and 70-30% by weight of inorganic powder. Good. Of course, the peeling effect of the present invention can be achieved with the water-absorbing resin alone, but it is difficult to apply it on old walls in terms of handling, and the water-absorbing resin is colorless and difficult to distinguish, so it is desirable to mix in a suitable powder or granules.

Add twice as much water and mix uniformly using a stirrer such as a stirring rod or hand mixer to form a gel-like mixture, then apply it over the old wall with a trowel or spatula in the same way as you would normally paint a wall.

The amount of water added at this time varies depending on the type of wall to be removed and the time required for removal, but it is usually 50
It is appropriate to use up to 300 times more water, preferably 100 to 150 times more water. If there is too little water, it will not give enough moisture to the old wall, and if there is too much water, it will be difficult to apply it evenly.
Of course, the amount of water depends on the amount of water-absorbing resin forming the composition, and it is usually desirable to add 200 to 300 times as much water as the water-absorbing resin.

As mentioned above, the water-absorbing resin can contain several hundred times as much water, so this water permeates the old wall and makes it easy to peel off. Moreover, unlike the case of applying water using a conventional brush or sprayer, it does not become sticky and can be removed in a relatively smooth and dehydrated state. Although its mechanism of action is not fully understood, after 5 to 3 hours, preferably 10 to 30 minutes, after it is applied to an old wall, it becomes integrated with the old wall remover composition of the present invention and can be used with a iron without dripping. The fact that the skin can be peeled off as easily as continuous peeling using the back of a spatula is a novel invention that skillfully utilizes the properties of water-absorbing resin, which has never been seen before. I can say that.

In this way, old walls can be easily peeled off,
Furthermore, as mentioned above, the product becomes smooth and dehydrated over time after application, so even if it spills, it will not stain the floor. The time required to reach this state varies depending on the type of old wall, the type of water-absorbing resin, the amount of water added, etc., but is usually about 10 to 30 minutes as described above.

Therefore, compared to using a conventional sprayer, there is no need to raise the tatami mats, put away the furniture, and remove the fittings, and it can be easily installed with just a mat or newspaper, and you can easily create fiber walls in a clean condition while living in the house. The effect is remarkable because it can be repainted.

This is especially effective in the case of apartments and small houses where, due to recent housing conditions, there is no space to put up tatami mats or put away furniture in the living space.

90g of this was taken and gradually added to a plastic bucket containing 10ml of water while stirring with a hand mixer to form a uniform gel. This was applied with a trowel over an area of approximately 11 m 2 on the old wall (Juraku wall) using the normal wall painting method. 15
After a few minutes, the old walls started to come out, so I used the back of the trowel to drop it on the trowel holder and peel it off. The tatami mats were not raised, they were just covered with newspaper, but no stains were noticed.
