Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cover-up liquid having excellent masking power, rewritability, set-to-touch time and color-sinking property by using a titanium oxide pigment, an organic solvent and a resin soluble in said solvent as main components and further including a highly water-absorbing polymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective cover-up liquid is composed mainly of (A) preferably 20-50wt.% of titanium oxide constituting the total or at least the main part of pigment, (B) preferably 30-60wt.% of an organic solvent (e. g. n-heptane, cyclohexane, etc., preferably having a boiling point of 70-150 deg.C) and (C) preferably 5-20wt.% of a resin soluble in said solvent (e. g. acrylic resin or alkyd resin) and further contains (D) preferably 0.5-2.0wt.% of a highly water-absorbing polymer (e. g. starch polyacrylate, acrylic acid-vinyl alcohol copolymer or sodium acrylate polymer).
