In addition, the annular part and the engaging part were created by cutting, etc., and then integrated by welding, brazing, etc. When making an annular part by winding a thin plate, there is a problem that the holding force is weak because it is not perfectly circular and slits are formed.
Moreover, those made by cutting and then joining have high processing costs, are expensive, and there are concerns about the strength of the welded parts.

A process of forming a hose fitting in which a flange portion is formed from a portion that was not drawn during the press forming, and a cylindrical nipple is provided in the inner hole of the hose, and the hose is inserted into the through hole of the annular portion of the hose fitting. The hose is inserted between the annular part and the nipple by crimping the outer peripheral surface of the annular part in the central axis direction with the nipple and the annular part of the hose inner hole positioned coaxially. The method is characterized by a bonding step for fixing and holding.

That is, draw press forming is performed to form a cup shape from one side to the other side, thereby forming a bottomed cup while leaving the peripheral edge part as a flange part. After molding to a predetermined depth, the bottom part is punched out to form an annular part. For this reason, the annular portion is thick at a portion close to the flange portion and thin at the other end. The flange part is punched out appropriately, and finally punched out leaving the necessary filler allowance. At this time, an engaging portion can be formed on a part of the flange portion at the same time. The engaging portion is formed, for example, by providing an engaging hole. This engaging portion is relatively thick because it has not been subjected to drawing processing.

The deeper the drawing, the more times the drawing process is required, but the number of drawing processes can be selected depending on the length, diameter, etc. of the intended annular part. After drawing to a predetermined depth, the bottom is punched, the flange is cut, and the engaging portion is punched. It should be noted that either the bottom hole punching or the flange collar cutting may be done first, or they may be done at the same time if possible. After this, if necessary, sharp edges are removed by barrel polishing or the like, or surface treatment such as chromate treatment is performed.

A plan view of the hose fitting A used in this example is shown in FIG. 1, and a longitudinal cross-sectional view at the center thereof is shown in FIG. This hose fitting A is composed of an annular portion 1 and a flange portion 2. One end of the annular portion 1 serves as an annular mouth portion 11, and the other end portion 12 becomes thinner toward the tip. The flange portion 2 is continuous with the annular mouth portion 11 and is constituted by a portion protruding toward the outer circumferential direction of the annular mouth portion 11 . This flange portion 2 is formed with an engaging portion 2a consisting of an engaging hole.

金具Aとしたものである。 Next, a molding process will be explained as a method for manufacturing this hose fitting A. First, in the forming process, in the first step, steel material a1 shown in Fig. 3 is punched out from a steel plate with a thickness of about 1 to 3 mm using a press, with a small circle on the front side and a large circle on the rear side, and the circumferential ends of both circles are made into a straight line. It was formed into a tied shape. This material has a shape slightly larger than the outer circumferential shape of the finished hose fitting A. Next, in the second step, drawing is performed in the usual manner, focusing on the large rear circular part of the material. Note that this drawing process involves drawing the center part with a punch while holding down the part corresponding to the flange part. This drawing process is the same as the cup-shaped drawing process used in ordinary cup forming.
This first drawing process produced a primary semi-finished product a2 into the shape whose cross section is shown in FIG. Next, a second drawing process was performed to increase the diameter and depth of the cup shape and form the shape shown in FIG. 5 to form a secondary semi-finished product a3. In this case, the number of drawing operations is not limited, and by increasing the number of drawing operations as necessary, it is possible to create a cup shape with a slight change in plate thickness or a shape close to a cup shape with a constant plate thickness. It is also possible. Thereafter, the flange portion was trimmed, the outer peripheral surface shape was punched out, and a hole was punched to form the engaging portion, resulting in the planar shape shown in FIG. 1. Finally, the bottom part shown in FIG. 5 was punched out to form the hose fitting A shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.

る。 This hose fitting A is made by inserting the hose 3 into the through hole 14 of the annular portion 1 as shown in FIG. 6 in the joining process, and then caulking it from the outer circumferential side of the annular portion 1 as shown in FIG. Hose 3 and hose fitting A
and are integrally fixed and combined. After that, hold the outer peripheral surface of the hose 3 with the annular part 1, pass a bolt or the like through the engaging part 2a of the flange part 2, attach the hose fitting A part to other parts, and hold the middle of the hose 3. It is what you use. Before caulking the annular portion 1, the outer circumferential surface of the hose 3 and the inner circumferential surface of the through hole 14 of the annular portion 1 are adhesively fixed in advance with an adhesive or the like, and the inner circumferential surface of the hose 3 is fixed as shown in FIG. The nipple part 4 is inserted into the circumferential surface, and caulking is performed from the outer circumferential side of the annular part 1 of the hose fitting A held on the outer circumferential surface of the hose 3 to integrally fix the hose 3 and the hose fitting A. It may also be a bonded structure. Furthermore, it is also possible to guide the hose 3 in an appropriate direction by bending the flange portion 2 if necessary.

る。 The hose fitting used in the method of connecting the hose and the hose fitting in this embodiment is formed by press molding from a relatively thin steel plate.
The annular portion is relatively thin. This makes it relatively lightweight. In addition, the flange part and annular mouth part, which require strength, are thicker than other parts because they are not made thinner by press forming, etc.
High mechanical strength compared to other parts. In particular, the flange portion and the annular mouth portion are areas on which large forces act, and are mechanically strong. Also,
By making the annular part of the hose fitting thinner than the flange part and the annular mouth part, it can be made longer in the axial direction, and the area of the annular part to be caulked in the radial direction is larger than the outer circumference, so that the hose can be stably held.

For this reason, the hose fitting itself inevitably becomes lightweight, and the overall punched shape can be freely selected as required.
Further, the forming process is mainly performed by drawing and punching. For this reason, productivity is extremely high and manufacturing costs are extremely low. Therefore, it can be supplied in large quantities at low cost. Further, the flange portion, which requires strength as a connection structure between the hose and the hose fitting, and the annular mouth portion of the annular portion connected to the flange portion are portions that are not subjected to much processing by drawing or the like. For this reason, the thickness of the material is almost maintained, and compared to the other end of the annular part, the thickness can be maintained and the strength can be increased. The other end of the annular portion inevitably becomes thinner due to the drawing process, but the closer to the other end of the annular portion the less strength is required, so there are fewer problems with strength. In addition, the annular part is caulked during the joining process, so
It is preferable that it be relatively thin and easy to caulk, and in this sense it is a suitable annular portion. That is, since the annular portion is formed by drawing, an appropriate wall thickness and dimensions required for caulking can be obtained.
