In addition to the oil level detection circuit that detects and notifies a drop in the oil level, there is also a disconnection detection circuit that detects and notifies disconnection of the thermistor, and each circuit is equipped with a timer and an alarm. This circuit activates the oil level detection circuit only when continuity of the thermistor is confirmed, thereby distinguishing burnout of the thermistor element, poor contact of connectors, lead wires, disconnections, etc. from low oil level notifications. This is a point that can be accurately known. Furthermore, a timer eliminates unnecessary energization for a long period of time, and if a disconnection is detected, the oil level detection circuit is not activated from the beginning. Note that these detections do not require continuous measurement, and it is sufficient to perform detection by operating for a short time when necessary.

When the engine is stopped, a timer is activated to energize the thermistor N for a predetermined period of time (for example, several minutes), and when the engine oil is below a predetermined amount, the thermistor reaches a predetermined temperature or higher and the light emitting diode LED lights up.

た。 However, in such devices, the light emitting diode will not light up even if the thermistor burns out or there is a poor contact or disconnection in the connector or lead wire, so the light will not light up even if the engine oil is at the specified amount. The drawback was that it was not possible to tell whether the light was not lit due to a malfunction or not.

センサを得ることである。 The purpose of this invention is to improve the shortcomings of the conventional devices mentioned above, and it is possible to accurately distinguish between malfunctions such as thermistor burnout or disconnection, and decreases in the oil level. To obtain a thermistor oil level sensor in which a level detection circuit operates and further prevents unnecessary energization for a long time.

The timer is started by the H level output, the oil level detection circuit 2 is activated, and the thermistor N is energized for a predetermined period of time (for example, several minutes). At this time, if the engine oil has decreased to a predetermined level, a light emitting diode LED 2 serving as a second alarm will notify you.

By repeating charging and discharging, the PUT causes relaxation oscillation, and the light emitting diode LED 1 blinks to notify the failure and the operation is stopped after a predetermined period of time without starting the timer.

実に防止することができるものである。 As explained above, the thermistor oil level sensor of this invention has an oil level detection circuit that detects and notifies a drop in oil level based on a change in the terminal voltage of the thermistor, as well as an oil level detection circuit that detects and notifies a disconnection of the thermistor. Both circuits are equipped with a timer and an alarm for each circuit, and the circuit activates the oil level detection circuit only when the disconnection detection circuit confirms continuity of the thermistor, thereby preventing burnout of the thermistor or connector. ,
It is possible to accurately identify poor contact or disconnection of lead wires, etc. by distinguishing it from a decrease in the oil level, and the timer eliminates unnecessary energization for long periods of time.
If the disconnection detection circuit detects a failure such as a disconnection, the oil level detection circuit is not activated from the beginning, so there is no wasted time or power consumption, and necessary measures such as checking with a level gauge can be taken promptly. This can reliably prevent engine troubles due to shortage.
