Abstract

PURPOSE:To find a leak of a water supply or others automatically in unmanned service and to take a countermeasure such as alarm transmission by dividing the liquid piping network into plural monitor areas, providing a flow rate sensor with a flow rate signal transmitting function in piping in each area, and providing an inspection device with a monitor signal transmitting function in each area. CONSTITUTION:Each of dwelling multistory dwelling units is regarded as a monitor area, the flow rate sensor 11 with the flow rate transmitting function is fitted to a branch water pipe from water piping 7, and a presence/absence state is judged by inputting the signal of a card reader 13 fitted to an entrance door 6 to a controller 14 installed in a superintendent office. When a presence signal is inputted from the card reader 13, the flow rate sensor 11 is placed in a non-monitor state, but when an absence signal is inputted, the sensor is placed in a monitor state. If a flow rate signal is inputted from the flow rate senor 11 in the monitor state, it is judged that there is a leak or that a faucet is left open forgetfully, etc., and while an alarm is generated, a shut-off 12 valve is closed.

[Problems with the prior art] For this reason, in high-rise housing, etc., there may be a delay in discovering water leaks in each unit.Especially, people forget to turn off the water supply faucet in the bathroom, or the automatic shut-off valve for flush toilets. There are many cases where water overflows when people are not at home due to problems such as pole taps malfunctioning.

The liquid piping network is divided into multiple monitoring areas, and a flow rate sensor with a flow rate signal transmission function is installed in the piping upstream of each monitoring area, and the presence or absence of a monitor or consumer in the monitoring area is detected. A detection device with a monitoring signal transmission function is installed in the monitoring area, and when a signal indicating that a monitoring person or a consumer is present is inputted from the detector, the flow rate sensor is placed in a non-monitoring state, and on the contrary, it is determined that a monitoring person or a consumer is absent. A system that monitors leakage of liquid flowing through a piping network in each monitored area, and is equipped with a controller that enters a monitoring state when a signal is input.

[Operation] In the above system, if the detector continues to send a signal to the controller of the central monitoring center that the monitoring person or the consumer is at home, the flow rate sensor is placed in a non-monitoring state. If the detector sends a signal to the controller indicating that the monitor or customer is absent, the controller puts the flow sensor in the monitoring state, and if the flow rate signal is input, the controller will detect a leak. If it is determined that a faucet or the like has been closed, for example, an alarm is issued and a shutoff valve is closed at the same time, or an alarm is issued with a lamp or sound or both.

a. In the monitoring state, if there is a water leak, etc., and a flow rate signal is input from the flow rate sensor, the controller issues an alarm, or closes the shutoff valve at the same time as this alarm, so if there is a water leak or a faucet has been forgotten to close, etc. We can deal with the situation immediately. Therefore, accidents related to water leakage will not increase.
