Conventionally, in order to ventilate the attic, in the case of a gable roof, it is usually enough to provide ventilation holes in the gable wall, but in the case of a hipped roof, such ventilation holes cannot be provided. . Therefore, the so-called eaves ventilation method, which uses only ventilation holes provided in the eaves, has to be used, and there is a problem in that sufficient attic ventilation cannot be achieved.

For this reason, in the case of a hipped roof, the ridgeline is placed along the ridgeline to provide ventilation functions, thereby forming an airflow path from the eaves to the ridge, improving ventilation. Many proposals have been made and many have been implemented.

These ventilation ridge accessories used to provide ventilation holes in ridges generally have a structure that allows only airflow to pass through while preventing raindrops from entering. For example, as shown in Figure 1, ridge A Cover the ridge cover body D over the opening C to the attic B formed at the top of the
On top of that, a ridge structure F having a ventilation hole E is placed and fixed, forming an air path from the attic B to the outside air via the opening C, the ridge cover body D, and the ventilation hole E, as shown by the chain line. There are some that allow only air to flow in and out while preventing direct or indirect inflow of water droplets.

However, in ventilation ridges with this type of structure, the air passage is reversible, and when strong winds blow into the ridge, outside air may blow from the ridge into the attic, and if there is a significant temperature difference between the inside and outside, There was a problem where condensation could form in the attic due to the incoming airflow.

The first ridge cover 10 includes an inclined surface portion 10A having a dogleg-shaped cross-sectional shape that opens downward;
A side surface portion 10B bent toward the opening at a substantially right angle to the inclined surface portion 10A, and an edge portion 10C bent toward the opposite opening side at a substantially right angle to the side surface portion 10B.
The ventilation hole 11 is formed at the top of the inclined surface portion 10A. The second ridge cover 13 includes an inclined surface portion 13A having a dogleg-shaped cross-sectional shape that opens downward, and both side portions 13 that are bent toward the opening side at approximately right angles to the inclined surface portion 13A.
It is composed of B. The partition wall 15 has a length slightly longer than the length of the ventilation hole 14 in the direction of the ridge, and the first ridge cover 10 extends in the direction perpendicular to the ridge.
A bottom wall 15A having the same width as the width of both side surfaces 13B and 13B and having a dogleg shape in cross section similar to that of the first ridge cover 10, and this bottom wall 15A.
Side part 1 of the first ridge cover 10 from both sides in the ridge direction
Both side walls 15B erected at approximately the same height as 3B,
15B, and an upper wall 15C extending between the side walls 15B. Communication space 1
4S has a minimum cross-sectional area at the dogleg-shaped top of the bottom wall 15A, and the ventilation holes 1 on both side surfaces 13B, 13B
It is a space whose cross-sectional area gradually expands toward 4 and 14. The ventilation hole 16 is provided in the upper wall 15C. Both side walls 15B of the partition wall 15,
A louver 18 is installed between the vents 15B to cross the ventilation holes 14, 14, adjust the airflow, and prevent birds and insects from entering.

In the above embodiment, the partition wall 15 is replaced by the bottom wall 15.
A, the case is shown in which the side wall 15B and the top wall 15C are configured, but as shown in FIG. 6, the bottom wall 15
A may be omitted and the partition wall 15 may be composed of the side wall 15B and the top wall 15C. In this case, the side wall 15B
and the inclined surface portion 10A of the first ridge cover 10 are made watertight, and the side wall 15B of the partition wall 15 is made watertight.

First, the ventilation building accessory 1 of this invention is shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the roofing sheet 3,
After fixing the roofing material 4 and the cap 5 on the roof board 8, the first ridge cover 10 is placed over the ventilation space 2A of the ridge formed between the caps 5 and 5 on both sides of the ridge 2, and the cap 5 with nails or the like, and then covered with a second ridge cover 13 with a partition wall 15 provided inside in advance,
It is fixed to the first ridge cover 10 with screws or the like.

In this case, the air in the attic 6 is ventilated into the ventilation space 2A.
Therefore, the ventilation holes 11, 11 on the first ridge cover 10
The air can flow into the communication space 14S through the ventilation holes 16, 16 of the partition wall 15 in the second ridge cover 13, and further, the ventilation hole 1 can flow from the communication space 14S.

Next, for the ridge 2, arrow W (Fig. 2, Fig. 4)
When the wind blows as shown, the wind blows between the ventilation holes 14, 14 of the second ridge cover 13, and an air current W is generated in the communication space 14S according to the wind force.

At this time, since the pressure decreases at the minimum cross-sectional area of the communication space 14S, the air in the attic 6 is discharged to the outside from the ventilation hole 14 through the ventilation hole 11 of the second ridge cover 13 and the ventilation hole 16 of the partition wall. .

Note that even under strong winds and rain, raindrops hardly ever enter through the ventilation holes 16 of the partition wall 15. This is because the pressure difference between the communication space 14S and the second ridge cover 13 increases as the wind strength increases, and the ventilation holes 16 are located on the top wall 15 of the partition wall 15.
This is because it is provided in C.

In addition, in order to further enhance the suction effect of the airflow from the ventilation hole 16 into the communication space 14S, as shown in FIG. A ventilation hole 16 may be provided in the partition wall 15 corresponding to the partition wall 15, and furthermore, an exhaust airflow guide tube 16A as shown in FIG. 8 may be provided upright in the ventilation hole 16.

Since this invention is configured as described above,
The wind that crosses the ridge creates an airflow in the communication space inside the second ridge cover, which sucks and exhausts air from the attic, realizing exhaust from the ridge and completely preventing backflow of outside air from the ridge. can be prevented,
Furthermore, since the structure is simple, it is easy to implement.
