においては、記録ドラム1上の余分のトナー(図
示しない)はトナー掻き落しブレード2で掻き落
されると同時にトナー吸引装置3により該装置内
の空気の流れに乗せてパイプ6を介して吸引され
て回収される。この際の吸引装置3内の空気の流
れは第2図に示すような動きをし、空気流5は吸
引装置3内で回転しながら装置外へ出て行くた
め、舞い上つたトナー4が再び記録ドラム1や掻
き落しプレード2や、吸引装置3内部に落ちた
り、またコピーサイズを大きくするためにトナー
吸引装置を大きくした場合には内部の空気流が乱
れたりして、トナーの回収が悪くなるという欠点
があつた。このようにクリーニング作用が不完全
であると、例えば磁気式複写機においては記録ヘ
ツドと記録ドラムとの間にトナーが挾まれて潜像
記録が妨げられるという問題が発生する。

ム間に、それぞれ間隙を形成した複写機等のクリ
ーニング装置とするものである。

14を通つて来た記録紙16に転写される。転写
後記録ドラム1に残つたトナーは、前記のように
掻き落しブレード2aに掻き落されると同時に吸
引装置3に吸引される。センサ2fは例えばフオ
トインタラプタで、連結板2eが光を遮つたと
き、掻き落しブレード2aが記録ドラム1から離
れていることを感知し、連結板2eが光を遮らな
いときは、掻き落しブレード2aが記録ドラム1
に接触していることを感知する。センサ2f、ソ
レノイド15は、マイクロプロセツサとその周辺
装置から成る制御装置20に接続されている。制
御装置20は勿論他の機構、すなわち記録ドラム
1、現像器12、転写ロール13、ブロア6b等
や操作パネル(図示しない)に接続されており、
操作パネル及びセンサ情報に基づき機構の動作を
制御する。ラツチングソレノイド15は特に潜像
記録中に停電等により電源が切れた場合に記録ド
ラム1又は掻き落しブレード2aを保護するのに
有効である。すなわちラツチングソレノイド15
は潜像記録中に掻き落しブレード2aを記録ドラ
ム1から離す役目をしているが、電源が急に切れ
たときにもそのままの状態を保つので、記録ドラ
ム1が高速回転中(例えば4000r.p.m)に掻き落
しブレード2aがこれに接触することがない。コ
ピー動作中は記録ドラム1は低速回転(例えば
100r.p.m)でありこれと掻き落しブレード2aと
は接触しているが、高速回転中に両者が接触する
とこれらは共に摩耗を早めるおそれがあるからで
