In order to form a ridge of glass in this way, such as a bay window with a triangular plan view, glass frames with horizontal glass grooves fixed at intervals on the building frame are fixed by butting the tips of the frames together, and the glass is inserted into the glass grooves. It is embedded. If the plan view of the triangular window is an isosceles triangle when it is made by butting together frame members provided with glass grooves, it is difficult to cut the frame members to the same length and at a constant angle. Even if the lengths of the frame members were made equal, it is difficult to align the tips of the two horizontal glass frames of a triangular window without misalignment. That is, there was a problem that cutting and assembling the glass frame was difficult.

In a processing method that bends a linear shape material formed by extrusion, drawing or press molding on one plane,
In order to leave the plate surface part perpendicular to the plane and facing the outside and bend it within 180 degrees, the inner member was removed in a V shape with the plate surface part as the apex; The outermost plate surface portion is bent so that both edges of the portion touch or approach each other. In this way, when the outermost part of the shape material is continuously bent, a V-shaped cut is made in the inner part of the shape material with the bent part as the apex, which is called mitori. The simplest example of a retaining cut is when bending an angle-shaped steel. In this case, a V-shaped cut is made in one flange with the corner of the cross section where the bend should be made in the longitudinal direction as the apex.
Bring both edges of the deleted part into contact or close together.

Effects of the invention This invention is a window frame for a bay window that is formed by abutting two pieces of glass to form a corner part, and the lower frame of the upper frame into which the upper and lower edges of the glass are fitted is left with an outer surface at the abutting corner part. By cutting the edges and bending them so that their outer surfaces become parallel to the glass and making them continuous, the edges of the edges were made into a window frame that was in contact with or close to each other. The corners of the upper and lower frames that lock the upper and lower edges of the glass are connected, compared to a case where the glass is cut at once and then connected, and there is no difference in appearance as in the conventional case. Work becomes easier when aligning with accurate dimensions and positions. The corners of the glass frame are simply cut into a V-shape and bent, and the corners can be easily and accurately formed. Since the bent outer member portion of the glass frame is continuous, it is well protected from rain and has a good appearance. Furthermore, the ends of the cut-off members can be easily sealed with a sealing material.

In the embodiment, the glass frame that locks the edge of the glass in the direction that intersects the protruding edge of the glass is a combination of upper and lower frames and glass ridges that fit into the upper and lower frames, but in this combination, the glass ridges are on the inside side. It also includes a frame in which the upper and lower frames do not have glass rims and are formed using glazing channel beads in the glass groove, and in either case, the component part whose plate surface is parallel to the outermost glass surface is continuous. It is sufficient if the inner part is cut off.
