Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a packaging apparatus capable of packing therein a bottle easily and securely and easy to carry by providing a bottom lid having projections for retaining the bottom of the bottle to be packed and a top lid having projections for retaining the top of the bottle and a handle. CONSTITUTION:A lower lid 2 is attached by rivets 3 to the lower end of a cylindrical part 1, a bottle 12 to be packed is inserted into the cylindrical part 1 and the bottom part of the bottle 12 is inserted between arcuate projections 4, so that the bottom part of the bottle 2 is secured in place by said projections 4. An upper lid 6 is forcibly fitted into the upper part of the cylindrical part 1. Since projections 9 are formed into a tapered shape, they are pressed by the top edge of the cylindrical part 1 and slidably moved along the inner surface thereof into engagement with openings 10. The upper lid 6 is thus joined with the cylindrical part 1 and the arcuate projections 7 thereof hold the upper part of the bottle 12 in place. Therefore, when it is being carried with a handle held, the bottle 12 is securely retained in the cylindrical part 1.
