Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable printed matter by using a pressure transfer roll of a pressurizing method with a back up roll for a transfer roll. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic latent image is formed by a recording head 1 accessed to a surface of a magnetic drum 2, and a toner image is formed by developing at a developing device 3 for visualizing the magnetic latent image. Then, pressurized transfer is carried out by press fixing the toner image on the paper 4 carried in with rotation of the magnetic drum 2. The pressurizing at this time is carried out with the pressure transfer roll 6, and a the back up roll 5 is provided in the back side of this pressure transfer roll 6 so that pressure is evenly imparted to the magnetic drum 2. Then, the toner image transferred on the paper 4 is heat fixed by a heat roll 8 and the printed matter is completed. Thus, the stable printed matter can be obtained.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, the prior art disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 54-32328 uses both magnetic energy and electrostatic energy as a printing system, so it suffers from the temperature and humidity stability peculiar to magnetic recording. This effect is lost, and the environment is almost the same as that of electrostatic laser beam printers, and the characteristics of the magnetic method are not effectively utilized. In addition, compared to the above-mentioned ones, the one published by Tokuko Sho 56-2347 is made entirely of magnetic energy, but due to the large pressure applied during fixing, the paper gets crushed and the paper surface becomes glossy, making it undesirable as a printed matter. I had an issue.

[Embodiment 1] FIG. 1 is a main sectional view of the magnetic printing apparatus of the present invention. 1
is a recording head, 2 is a magnetic drum, 3 is a developer, 4 is paper,
5 is a backup roller, 6 is a pressure transfer roller, 7 is a fixed roller, 8 is a heat roller, 9 is a cleaner, and 10 is a demagnetizer. In order to print with this magnetic printing apparatus, first a magnetic latent image is formed on the surface of the magnetic drum 2 by the recording head 1 accessed by a predetermined signal. Next, in order to visualize the magnetic latent image, it is developed by a developing device 3 to form a toner image. Further, as the magnetic drum rotates, the toner image is pressed onto the paper 4 carried in, and pressure transfer is performed. Pressure at this time is performed by a pressure transfer roller 6, which is made of fluororubber and has a rubber hardness of 45 in order to perform higher transfer.

Furthermore, a backup roller 5 is provided on the back side of the pressure transfer roller 6 so as to apply pressure uniformly to the magnetic drum 2. As a result, the toner image transferred to the paper 4 is thermally fixed by the heat roll 8 to complete a printed matter. On the other hand, the magnetic drum 2 continues to rotate, the residual toner is removed by a cleaner 9, the magnetic latent image is erased by a demagnetizer 10, and a new printing process begins. This printing process takes one cycle, but if you want to make multiple copies, you can do high-speed multicopies by releasing the demagnetizer after cleaning and repeating development, transfer, and fixing without erasing the magnetic latent image.

The environmental conditions were a temperature of 40° C. and a humidity of 60%. Under these environmental conditions, 500 prints were continuously produced, and the stability of print quality from the initial print to the 500th print was confirmed. As a result, there was no change in print quality from the initial print to the 500th print, and the print quality was stable.

Another effect is that in the past, it was necessary to select the resin material and adjust the specific resistance in order to impart static electricity to the toner, but with this method, there is no need to take these considerations into consideration, which increases the flexibility in toner design. It also has the effect of spreading.
