から加熱するので、ポリエチレン袋のように容器に白化
現象が発生したり、袋又は容器の形状により被殺菌物を
迅速かつ均等に加熱できなかったりすると共に被殺菌物
の温度管理も困難であり、しかも熱効率も悪く構成も複
雑化する等の問題点がある。 本発明はこのような現状に鑑み、被殺菌物の加熱殺菌の
温度制御が容易で品質を低下さゼることなく加熱殺菌で
きると共に熱効率の良い殺菌方法どイの殺菌装置を提供
することを目的とするものである。 【課題夕解決するノーめの手段) 本発明方法は前記目的を達成するために、被殺菌物を殺
菌温度に高温加熱した直後に高圧タンク内において容器
に充填密封し、次いで所定の殺菌時間保持し2で加熱殺
菌を行ってから冷却し、て高圧タンク内から取り出すこ
とを要旨とするものである。 また本発明は前記方法を実施するため装置として、原料
を殺菌温度に高温加熱する高温加熱装置、F部に冷却槽
を設けた高)Eタンク、該高圧タンク内の気相部と冷却
槽とを順次循環するように張架した容器の間歇搬送装置
、前記高温加熱装置で加熱された原料を気相部の搬送装
置の容器に充填する充填装置、前記充填された容器の充
填口をシールする密封装置、前記充填装置ト前の搬送装
置に容器査供給する容器供給装置、加熱殺菌さ2tた充
填容器を搬送装置から取り、り一す容器取り出1−装置
とより構成されたことを要旨とするものである。 本発明における被殺菌物は流動性食品、@液。 輸血用血液等の流動性医薬品を意味し、これらをポリエ
チレン等のプラスチック袋又は容器に充填密封して加熱
殺菌するものである。 [作用] 本発明方法は被殺菌物を直接殺菌温度に高温を一加熱し
、この加熱さ朴た状態の被殺菌物を直ちに高圧タンクに
おいて脱気された容器に充填密封し、被殺菌物の殺菌に
必要な所定時間高温加熱状態に保持して加熱殺菌を行っ
た後にこれ殻冷却して高圧タンク内から取h)出すもの
である。 また本発明装置は、流動性の被殺菌物を高温加熱装置で
所定の殺菌温度に高温加熱したものを高圧タンクの気相
部において容器供給装置1τ、1、り搬送装置に供給さ
れて移送されて来る容器に充填装置で充填した後、その
充填口髪密封装置でシールして所定の殺菌時間気相部を
間歇移送して加熱殺菌を行ってから冷却槽に移送して昂
却し、次いで容器取り出し装置で高圧タンク外に取り出
すものマ・ある。 [実施例] 本発明のlJ法及び装置の詳細夕実施例について説明す
ると、流動性食品、@血、輸液等の流動性医薬品等の被
殺菌物を原料タンク1から熱交換装置、その他の高温加
熱装置2中を通過させて被殺菌物に適応した殺菌温1!
:110〜140℃に高温加熱し、これを断熱性パイプ
等を介して直ちに1゜2〜2.0kgに加圧された高圧
タンク3内の充填装置4に移送できるように構成されて
いる。 前記高圧タンク3の下部には冷却槽5が設けられると共
に高圧タンク3内には充填用の容器を収容するりテーナ
ー6を取付けた搬送装置7がF部の気相部と下部の冷却
槽5とを循環して間歇駆動するように張架されており、
更に気相部における前記搬送装h7の始端部上方には前
記リテーナ−6に容器を供給する容器供給装置8とリテ
ーナ−6内の充填容器を取り出す容器取り出し装置9と
が大々設置さ才している、 しかして前記充填装置4の充填ノズルは容器供給装置8
の前方に設けら九、搬送装置7の間歇停止時においてリ
テーナ−6内の容器に被殺菌物を高温加熱状態で充填す
ると共に該充填装置4の前部には更に密封装置10が設
置され、被殺菌物を充填した容器の開[コ部をシール密
閉するように構成されている。 このようにして被殺菌物を充填された容器は搬送装置7
で所定時間気相部を間歇移送されて被殺菌物の熱で加熱
殺菌された後、高圧タンク3の下部に設けられた冷却槽
5に間歇移送されて冷却されてから再び気相部に搬送さ
れ、その間歇停止F時に容器取り出し装置9によってリ
テーナ−6から高圧タンク3外に取り出されて殺菌が完
Yされるものである。 前記高温加熱装置2の加熱温度、高圧タンク3の圧力、
搬送装置7の間歇移送速度は被殺菌物の種類、量、容器
の種類、殺菌時間等に応じて調節できるように構成され
ており、例えば118℃で4分間で殺菌できる被殺菌物
の場合、被殺菌物を予め殺菌温度より稍々高く120℃
に高温加熱装置2で加熱してこれを1.3kg/a(の
高圧タンク3内でポリエチレン等の袋に充填密封して気
相部を4〜5分間間歇的に搬送すると118℃になって
所定の加熱殺菌処理が完了するので、これを冷却槽5に
搬送して冷却してから高圧タンク3から取り出せばよい
。 なお図中11は冷却水循環ポンプ、12は冷却装置であ
る。 また輸液、輸血用血液等のように空気、その他の混入を
確実に防止する場合には、これらの容器の充填部を密封
しである密封容器を使用して高圧タンク内で充填部を開
口して被殺菌物を充填できるように充填装置4の手前に
容器充填部切断装置を設けると共に更に前記密封容器を
充填部を下向きにして搬送装置7のリテーナ−6に供給
して充填部を切断した後、搬送装置7を18.0度回動
して容器の充填部を上向きにして充填装置4による充填
と密封装置10による充填部の密封を行った後に、搬送
装置7を180度反転して再び密封した充填部を下向き
にして搬送できるように搬送装置7に容器反転装置を設
けると好適である。 更に前記容器供給装置8及び容器取り出し装置9におけ
る容器の出し入れ手段は高圧タンク3内の圧力を低下さ
せることな〈従来知られている方式、例えば特公昭56
−43350号公報、特開昭64−51069号公報等
の公知の方式を使用するものである。 【発明の効果] 本発明の方法は流動性の被殺菌物を直接高温加熱したも
のを高圧タンク内において容器に充填密封し、そのまま
高圧タンク内で所定の殺菌時間保持して殺菌することに
より、従来の高温タンク内を殺菌温度に加熱する方式に
比し熱効率を著しく向上できると同時に殺菌温度の温度
管理が容易であり、しかも被殺菌物は容器などに左右さ
れることなく均等に殺菌温度に加熱できると共に容器を
変質させることもなく、低コストで能率良く加熱殺菌処
理を行うことができる。 また本発明の装置は高圧タンク内における加熱手段を必
要としないので、高圧タンクの構成及び設備を簡易化で
きると共に高圧タンク外に設ける高温加熱装置は直接被
殺菌物を加熱するためにその構成及び温度管理も容易で
あって、殺菌装置自体の構成も簡易で低コストで製造で
きる。
