Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out dimension stabilization process inexpensively by injecting water solution mainly composed of urea and/or methylol urea into a timber and then volatilizing the water content. CONSTITUTION:Besides urea and/or methylol urea as main component, a mildewproofing agent, a termite-proofing agent, an permeating agent and if required, D-glucose are added to water, sufficiently agitated at the room temperature to 40 deg.C to prepare uniform solution. In order to inject the injection solution thus prepared, the injection liquid is filled in a closed container in which a timber is immersed, and the degree of vacuum in the closed container is set at 160mmHg or less and the pressure is reduced for 30 minutes to one hour, and then pressurized up to approximately 5-15kg/cm<2> and the injection solution is injected for 2-3 hours, and then left at the room temperature and normal pressure for 2-3 hours, or left under the normal pressure for 2-7 days to permeate sufficiently the injection solution to cell walls of the timber. Then, the timber into which the injection solution is permeated is discharged out of the closed container to volatilize the water content. The timber is left under the normal temperature for 2-3 days, and then dried at 50-60 deg.C for several days.

化処理方法。 3、尿素及び/又はメチロール尿素の一部をD−グルコ
ースで置換えた請求項1又は2の木材の寸法安定化処理
方法。
